I had been looking for a new garbage can for some time. I live in an old (100+) home and do not have cabinet space to store a can so it has to sit out. I have a pretty narrow spot that my previous plastic can fit in, but was looking for an upgrade after a recent cabinet redo. This can looks great and fits into the space so well. It is taller than my previous can, which I love since I am tall! I did not want a foot pedal opening and the lid opening on this can is great. Highly recommend!

They had this trashcan at a house we rented on vacation and our trash loving beagle couldn't get into it. We ordered one right away and it works like a charm. Life changing not having to worry about her eating trash anymore.

The 40L slim can was exactly what we needed. My boyfriend and I joke that it changed our lives after we switched out our old tiny can for this one. It's truly a great product; especially if you're looking for something that doesn't take up too much space.

I just moved from a large house to an apartment. I wanted a sleek dual trash can…and one that I could slide around my kitchen if need be. Remember, it's an apartment. Sick of foot pedals on trashcans (my house can was the very large simplehuman dual with foot pedal) and wary of touchless (what if the system fails) I wen with this small touch-bar and I love it! The compartments are perfect for 1 or 2 people. The liners fit perfectly! Don't fret over the price of liners: they are really thick, fit perfectly and because the trash can keeps odors in perfectly, you can truly fill the can up using fewer liners. One more thing I love about this touch-bar: it stays open on its own. That's the big difference from a foot pedal. I love it! Yes…I love a trashcan!

Love this garbage can bc dislike step and automatic activated ones, Prefer over integrated cabinet trash pull outs, too. Perfect for the end of kitchen island and nice that the top stays open until I want it closed. Even fits a pizza box! Very well designed, thanks Simple Human!

This my second purchase of this item. The first one lasted 10 years. I overall love it but have one complaint. The older version had handles on both sides, but this one has only a handle on one side, which is very odd and not helpful if it needs to be carried even across the room. Also the interior liner has 3 slits at the bottom. Not sure if that is by design or I received a defective one. Concerned that if there is a leak from the bag it will drip from the liner. Very disappointing but am keeping the can because its hard to find one that does not have a foot pedal or motion sensor.
