I like the inner liner, which keeps the stainless steel shell clean. I also like that I can hang it on the side of the Simplehuman trashcan. One less thing to stash beneath the sink or set on the counter. . I just wish it was bigger—a few days of coffee grounds and the trimmings from vegetables/fruit are enough to fill it.

I had been using a compost pot I liked, but it had "issues"- the metal was rusting, the inner plastic container was hard to remove, etc. This solved everything! Hooks onto my trash can and easily comes off to go to my counter for clean-up. The inner plastic container comes out easily, and the biodegradable liners hold up well (old ones from other disintegrated as soon as any moisture hit them. This one is everything I needed and wanted!

I bought one of these for myself a couple of years ago and since then I have purchased one for my sister, my daughter, and a couple of friends. They are very convenient and on the top of a counter look fantastic. I just purchased the top of the counter soap and sponge container along with many of your items. Thanks for your perfect workmanship on EVERYTHING I have purchased.

This Simple Human Compost Candy is one of the best purchases I have made. We have a septic tank, and I cannot put anything down our garbage disposal, so having this caddy is a life saver. I bought the caddy as an attachment to the step open trash bin, and they both have made my life so much easier in the kitchen. They are both so good looking, I have been updating our kitchen, and seriously streamline our trash collecting process. In addition, the compost candy has a removable bin within the caddy, simplifying the cleaning and sanitizing process. Thank you, Simple Human—another great find!!!

I needed a tight compost receptacle for my kitchen counter, as my previous one was an invitation to sugar ants apparently! This compost caddy is the answer. It's not only beautiful, but it is large enough to hold multiple days worth of food scraps and coffee grounds without getting smelly. And no ants in sight! Highly recommend.

The size is perfect to collect food scraps to dispose of every 2-3 days. Unless it's close to full before then. Occasionally I have to toss out a bunch of produce that expired all at once. So happy I bought this…the images of how it's attached to your step cans could be better, but you will not be disappointed. I have 2 step wastebaskets and this rest on the side of the smaller wastebasket. Great value, so easy, convenient and worry free.

My only complaint would be its size, since for a family our size we can fill it up after a meal if we are using it properly, but having it right next to the kitchen trash makes it a million times easier to use. Highly recommend the z compostable bags as they can also be composted in your backyard compost if you have one!

I love this item. It makes it so simple to recycle compostable kitchen scraps and food waste. It conveniently hangs off our trash can. Now that the produce bags are biodegradable, I can use them too in this caddy. The lid did detach after 1-1/2 years, but was quickly replaced under Warenty! I highly reconnect recommend. Thank you.

Don't know why I waited so long to purchase. . . I'm so satisfied. This has made composting in NYC so delightful. I don't like a lot of "stuff" in my place-so having another trash can taking up floor space for composting became annoying very quickly (I've had the prior small stainless steel compost can for over 10 yrs, but only started using it daily when composting became the law in NYC) I've attached this little guy to the front of my two-bin step-can and it's perfect. Yes, the compost caddy is not regulated only to side trash bin attachment.

This is just a plastic bucket inside a metal bucket. It comes with bespoke bags that you have to replace via simple human or go without. That's fine because the bucket inside the bucket can be washed. But why is there no filter? It did not occur to me to check for that in the product description as I'd expect it with a compost container. So I have a bucket inside a bucket that I have to empty and wash every night. No thanks, for the money I can rig that up with old take out containers
