simplehuman Kitchen Trash Can, 10.6 Gallon Plastic Step Garbage Bin with Secure Slide Lock, Soft Close Lid, White

Great product! As advertised and more! I needed one to fit in my closet and ordered 2 different colors- one for recycle and 1 for daily trash. Super sleek with convenient wheels and lid lock also a pedal for convenient opening rather than having to touch daily!

Fits nicely in the space between my fridge and oven. Was specifically looking for a narrow trash can with the step on the front not the side. it also comes with a lock that is good for nosey pets or kids. Lock does leave some scrap marks on top of trash can after use though. color is a grey and almost metallic. Closes slowly after you take your foot off the step to make sure it doesn't slam shut. the lid required a surprising amount of force to get it hooked in, but otherwise, nice addition to a kitchen.

I got really excited to find a slim yet deep trash can for my kitchen. This even has a wheel in the back, making it slide out from under the counter easier. Great deal and nice charcoal gray!

It's good one sleek, compact fits in small spaces! Love it is the step on opens nice and closes good!

Looks and works as described. My only surprise is it weighs a bit more than expected. The mechanism for opening the lid is pretty solid, which is what adds the weight. Not really an issue, but it might be a factor for others.

This is the third trash can I have purchased. It is the best trash can I have ever owned. One is 10 years old and the lid still lifts up easily with the foot pedal. It is a great slim design that fits easily in our kitchen. The grey color fits with many color pallets. Its worth the price for the quality and longevity. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

This is a little bit smaller than the 13 gallon barrel we have been using, but I got it because it had more depth than width. And if it's perfectly next to my standalone freezer. The other reason I got it was because our dog had the ability to open other trash cans and hopefully with the lock on this, she will not be able to.

We like this trash container. It does as advertised and takes the Costco 13 Qt plastic liners which is a plus. One problem we noticed in the reviews and which we experienced is the annoying problem when you step on the pedal to open the top, the unit slides back and eventually hits the wall. You then need to slide it forward to allow the top to open. This occurs because the unit is very light and the wheels facilitate the back-sliding. We solved this by gluing a few small strips of rubber (plumbing gasket material) to the bottom near the front, yet not visible when the container is in place. These strips increase the friction on the floor and keep the container in place when you use the pedal. This is an easy fix the mfr. should consider to solve this annoying feature.

This thing is not pretty I bought it of course because of the color thinking it would be nicer version of your normal trashcan. If I had to have a trashcan sitting out in my kitchen I wanted it to look nice. This thing is hideous. It looks like a big old trashcan that you have sitting outside in your yard for your outdoor trashcan it's you think that the wheel in the back is just decorative nope it's a full on big old wheel and because of that every time you try to lift the lid it wants to roll out slide out would not recommend very disappointed we put it out in our garage immediately and do not use it. It's awful.

I purchased this for a small space. When it arrived it was in a ridiculously large box, once the box was opened it appeared someone had just thrown it in there no wrapping or protection. Almost immediately I could see streaks in the plastic, and Under close examination the flange on the lid was broken where the metal rod from the petal connects, and the entire mechanism from the petal to the lid was damaged rendering the product useless. Interestingly the box was in good shape. It appears they sent me a used can or a return, either way it was very poor attention to detail on shippers part. Had the opportunity to ship back and get a new one or refund. Chose the refund as it was so obvious the shipper was at fault in this case and didn't trust them to ship another. Too bad though was a nice looking unit and ideal for small spaces, unfortunately the whole situation turned into a waste of resources, Fuel labor etc.
