Simplicity Brother Sb170 Sewing Machine

Easy to learn for an older, seldom sewer. I used to sew simple items. Haven't sewn in several years. Now only mend. But had a simple project and trusty Singer quit on me, so I made this purchase.

I originally decided to purchase a sewing machine because i was tired of having a friend always sew something for me. This machine meets and exceeds all my expectations. It is very easy to use and runs smooth.

This machine does an excellent job for all of my sewing needs. The machine is easy to use. My 11 year old granddaughter can even use the machine.

This is a wonderful choice for my grandchildren they are taking sewing classes so I bought a janome purple thunder derby sewing machine but when we tried it out it broke the once the first stitch that was made we got a full refund and went and got a sewing machine made by brother a company that has fulfilled out expectations every time. This sewing machine will last for many years to come thank you brother® for this wonderful sewing machine. Ok would recommend this brand and machine to anyone that would ask! I just received this the brother simplicity for Christmas.. I am a novice at sewing and this is the easiest machine I have used.. I absolutely love it!

It is a good sewing machine and does what I wanted it to do. I was looking for a sewing machine to make repairs to my clothes that were getting worn. I did not need a lot of 'fancy stitches' that I would never use. I wanted a good low priced machine that did not jam and 'gets the job done' and this machine 'fills the bill'.

The machine is simple to use. A great sewing machine to take to quilting classes.

This replaced my 30 yr old Singer. I love all the features. Plus, it is so lightweight. I do wish it had a zero setting for stitch length tho.

Love it. Wanted a small portable machine with 1/4" foot and walking foot attachments to take to quilting bees. Sometimes sews better than my big computerized machines!

The tension is constantly off with my machine and the stitches are poor quality. Perhaps there is something wrong with the way I am threading, and I will eventually figure out the trick. Also I cannot use my collection of presser feet with machine. I have to buy Brother feet.
