SimpliSafe - Outdoor Wireless 1080p Full HD Security Camera - White

I've had the Simplisafe security system for several years and decided to add a few outdoor cameras. I've seen some other reviews that didn't rate these very high, but because we have pretty strong internet with extenders located throughout the house I was willing to give them a try. So far so good. They have been installed for a little over a week and have worked great! We'll see how long the batteries last... but so far they are still holding a good charge and showing 100%.

Though not as pictured or described (shown and listed as the last generation camera, which is what I was looking to purchase), this latest new model of camera linked up with our current system with no problem-- so it ended up being a pleasant surprise!

simplisafe wireless outdoor security camera was super easy to install to my existing system. Perfect picture. Also ordered solar panel to keep battery charged.

I love this camera. I plan on ordering another one soon. Wonderful clarity day %26 night. Sound is awesome as well. Couldn't have picked a better security camera and security system. Simplisafe is Well Worth the buy. I strongly recommend the system and it's Awesome Camera's.

Takes some adjustment to get the sensitivity right or cars driving by will keep you up all night. But they work great and get us a HUGE upgrade to our outside monitoring! Too bad it took SimpliSafe so long to get these to market. It was the one weakness to their systems.....But now its corrected. I just ordered the solar panels, unless you like pulling the cameras down every 3-4 months and charging batteries, and rehanging your cameras and getting the setting right again, these are a must! Hook them up and never worry about power issues again!!!

I installed my Simply safe outdoor security camera on 11/18/21, and the base station is announcing on 11/26/21 that the camera's battery is low, and has lost it's connection. The advertised information was that the camera's battery would last 3-5 months before needing a charge. I had hoped that it would have been an improvement over their standard camera's battery life, but highly disappointed that it's not. Though I needed several camera's, I'm glad I decided to try only one first.

Product was listed as having two cameras, but I received only one. Seller changed listing to one camera after I purchased. However, specifications for the product and user reviews still mention two cameras. This is a fraudulent bait and switch. Do not buy from this seller!

The delay time is terrible and misses way too much activity. It also stops recording before the motion and activity stops? The location and the internet connection is excellent. I have 2 other cameras their activity behavior changed as well. The magnet stopped working after 30 days and no longer holds the camera upright, I have it rigged. After the first 30 days it stopped picking up people and animals unless they stand directly in front of it for it 60 seconds to compensate for the delay time. In short, every single car that passes I have footage of but no trespassers on my property, so I have to charge it every two weeks. I do not recommend. I have Arlo at my other home no delays and records until all motion stops and is not horribly pixelated but crystal-clear recordings. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Soon as I sell this house, I am sending this junk back and asking for a refund on my useless subscription. On a positive note* The customer service is excellent. I did all the trouble shooting, it is Simplisafe bad update destroyed the system.

great idea, poor execution. Camera uses rechargeable battery for power. If camera is on and monitoring the area, it eats batteries. if set to "sleep" it takes 15 ~ 20 seconds to wake the camera and get an image. often time the event is over before the camera wakes up.
