This pressure washer for the money your not gona find anything that comes close. It has a AAATriplex pump, which I think are the best pumps and long as you flush and use a pump saver of some sort after every use they last forever.I have a Window Cleaning and pressure wash business so I put a lot of hours on my machines. This machine is perfect cause you can adjust the pressure with the unloader valve and it also works great to bead blast stuff with.Like I said for the money this machine is the best and can pretty much do everything, just buy it! You won't regret it,trust me,I own five of them.....
Bought the Simpson 4240 at Lowes along with a Surface Cleaner. First use was our front driveway and side walks - the combo did a GREAT job. Between the Simpson's high pressure/high volume output with a stainless steel 15 " surface cleaner - the job went quickly with wonderful results.
Brace yourself before you pull the trigger, this baby will knock you on your butt. I am able to rinse 3 story gables from the ground with just the 30” extension. My 12' extension wand and the soap nozzle applies the solution to that height. I added a 5000 psi gauge and, sure enough, I get 4400 psi with the Simpson motor using a 100' hose. The pull cord location is a little awkward. The entire unit wants to turn as you pull. I put my foot on the wheel to hold it still but watch that you don't damage the valve stem like I did. I wish it had an optional battery starter, I'm in good shape and I have to pull real hard for a one-pull start. When shutting it off, bring the wand back to the machine with you because you need to pull the trigger to release pressure if it doesn't start on the first pull. The unit is well balanced and easy to roll up a ramp into my van. This unit paid for itself with one job. Of corse it was a big place...
I have two ot this Hydro Blasters, we cleaned TWO Cooling Towers in Two Days only using the rotating tip. The project was scheduled for fur days, so we didi it in half the time. Definitely this is a great source of equipment for your job. Very efficient gasoline engine gives you four to five hours for one full tank (Amazing)!!!
It is coming on winter when I bought it. I brought it home, got it prepped and it started on the 2nd pull. Ran it for an hour, shut it down, and inspected everything. Everything checked out. Started it up again, (3 pulls this time. Ran gas stabilizer through it, shut it down, ran pump guard through the pump, put it in storage and covered it up. Spring will be the real test!!!
I bought the Simpson pressure because I wanted more cleaning power for my house siding, sidewalks and driveway. I previously had a 15 year old 3500 psi that the pump died. It didn't cost much more to buy a new 4400 Simpson than a new pump. There is a world in the cleaning ability of the Simpson. I would highly recommend this pressure washer to anyone that has heavy duty cleaning Donnie Murphy
Bought his for my pressure washing business. Great power and accessories. Pressure valve spring broke after two uses, but other than that so far so good.
The engine and pump are awesome the hose it comes with is lacking and leaves marks. The gun is lacking it works fine but feels a bit flimsy in the hand. The pressure rating is a bit high at 4gpm I have played with it I get 4gpm at around 3400psi. The packaging needs some support foam to keep from damage my unloader valve was bent upon arrival along with a couple dents in the fuel tank and heat shield. I use an external unloader valve and I dont mind a few dents. Thats the reasoning for 4 stars instead of 5.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is definitely a beast! Have to be careful not to take off more than you want with it. Seems very heavy duty and well made. Hoping for lots of years of life and service out of it! It is fairly weight forward, so need to pay attention so it doesn't end up on its nose, but if using on level ground, this is pretty easily done.
I purchased my PS 4240 last week. I am very impressed with the power it provides and the easy set up. It is very sturdy and well built. It's a little heavy for my liking but not a big deal. The only issue I have found is that I have to turn the unit off to switch tips in the wand.
