I got this unit for my sons basement bedroom. Its really nice and I think he will get lots of use out of it. Hopefully it will keep his room cool throughout the summer. The remote control is an added plus as well. This would be great for use in a Studio Apartment or other small space where one needed some Air Conditioning. I cant speak for how it runs over the long haul as I just got it, but right out of the box it appears to be a nice unit. I would recommend it to anyone.

I've only been using it a short while, but so far it has met or exceeded my expectations. I'm using it in my bedroom and it is much quieter than I expected. paired to the portable room air conditioner that I replaced. I have no trouble hearing either my TV or falling asleep

Was very impressed and pleasantly surprised. Besides the shipping being a day late due to a label unreadable issue, the unit itself works great, it's small and portable and has good connection pieces for the window exhaust vent. Unit blows cold and was easy to set up. Liked how it can hook up to WiFi and doesn't need to constantly drain in cool mode. Great price, great little unit, the main A/C at our house is going out so it's nice to have this as a backup while the main gets repaired. And to have just in case I need it in the future as well. Only been using this a week so I can't speak for durability of the item but so far it's been good. It has a smaller footprint than our last portable AC, was easy to install/hook up and cooled off the room quickly. It is good for fitting in tight spaces. It can connect to wifi and be controlled remotely but we've just been using it the old fashioned way and all is well.

I recently buy the SIMZLIFE 8000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner for my bedroom. It is white and look very nice and modern. The unit is not too big, it fit easily in my bedroom. Installation was easy. The window kit is adjustable and it works for both sliding and hung windows. I like that it comes with remote control and has WiFi, so I can control it with my phone using Alexa or Google Home. Very convenient! The cooling is powerful. It cool my 250 sq ft room quickly and the temperature goes from 61°F to 90°F. It has three modes: Cool, Dry (dehumidifier), and Fan. It is also quiet, only 54 dB. I can sleep well with it on at night. The design is good with wheels, so I can move it from room to room without problem. The only small thing is the exhaust hose is a bit short, but overall I am very happy with this AC. It is good value for the price. I recommend it for small rooms or apartments.

Says 4 speed however it is only a 2 speed, low %26 high. WAY nosier than I expected, like a loud fan on high even when on low in “sleep” mode which is supposed to be quiet. Don't like the sleep mode either as the temperature raises by 2 degrees in an hour and then another 2 degrees. I purchased as I kept waking up hot…. 4 degrees is a lot over the night (start at 70 %26 goes up to 75 before turning on) makes the difference of sleeping all the way through the night or not. So much for “Quiet sleep mode” will not be using that feature! Not sure yet if I will keep.

The cord on this thing is so short, would be better if you the cord was 1.5X longer. The stickers they put on the front mover are nearly impossible to remove., I don't know what kind of glue on this sticker but it's absolutely ridiculous. Nothing like opening a brand new product having to get a sticker off the front of it. Do better..

I regret buying this weak beast of a machine. I live in a small home and even with a fan running, and the unit being on all day, it doesn't cool the space. But it's 8k btu? Really? You have to either pipe the drain line outside, which would be hard given the vent kit OR set numerous timers to remind yourself to dump the water in the container throughout the day. If you don't do either, you will have puddles of water all over the floor. The vent pipe and the unit itself radiate A LOT of heat which I get but very counterproductive when you're trying to cool your space.

Although advertised to cool up to 550 sqft, but in reality of a summer afternoon, did not cool my 300 sqft living room. Note that my apartment is an upper unit in a relatively humid area with max 87 F outside temperature. Another thing to consider is that a portable unit takes up a lot of room space compared to a window unit.
