Upgraded from a smaller window unit to this. 14000 btu are not that common for a portable ac. Happy that i purchased it right before the hot weekend we had. It was delivered fast and in perfect condition. Install took maybe 5-6 minutes tops, took longer to remove the window unit. The ac looks really nice in the room and its really powerful! The room where it's installed has aprox 400sq ft and it dropped the temp from 72 to 67 in maybe 20 minutes. The thing that I was really happy about its how quite it is even at Hi speed fan. If you are looking for a good and powerful ac this will be a great choice

Item arrived on time and was packaged really well! It is much bigger and heavier than it looks-it comes up to my waist and I’m 5”4. Directions and installation are really straightforward and easy. It works well if you’re cooking a small space, otherwise you’d an actual mounted air conditioner. I think it’s a great buy.

The portable AC was shipped quickly and very well in a box which is also a concern for expensive items like this. It is easy to install and cools well. I purchased two different sizes for room size needs.

I purchased a new house and had central air conditioning installed. Even in Central New York we are having extended very hot and humid summers that make a central air conditioner churn nonstop. I'm not interested in making my local utility company richer than they already are. I'm single and figured during extended hot and humid snaps I could retreat to my extremely large bedroom and relax there and raise the central air conditioning for the rest of the house to about 77°. That's too warm for my enjoyment, but it's not economical to cool the entire house (in my opinion) as a single person. I purchased the 10,000 BTU unit. Due to the design of my window I needed to have a piece of wood cut so it could sit in properly and once it did it worked like a charm. I think the extension that fits into the window could have been made slightly narrower since mine does not actually sit in firmly. I can easily make it work with a couple of small shims, but wouldn't need to if it was a little narrower. It would still have been as effective for any window. Not worth taking a star off, my window may be the oddball out there. It's been a bit cooler so I didn't really need to use it, but wanted to test it during the return window. My bedroom was 70° so I set it to cool to 66° and it did so in my 22 x 14' bedroom in well under an hour. I had my room darkening draperies closed so as to not make the unit work harder. I REALLY like that the drape will go over the vent hose without having to cut a separate set for summer use like in the past with a seasonally placed window air conditioner. I tried all three modes. I first tried on fan just to make sure it was even blowing air. After seeing it was working fine I grabbed a 2 gallon bucket with a metal handle and connected the hose halfway down the backside of the unit. ***I emphasize using a handle because that can assist holding the hose in place as water removed from the air drains into it. The directions emphasize to not have the hose immersed into the water it drains and the metal handle helps that from happening.*** I was shocked at how much water it removed and an incredibly accurate temperature and humidity device I own almost identically matched readings on the unit which was very reassuring. During an extended hot and humid stretch you'll want to make sure you're checking the bucket a couple times a day or if able to drain it somehow all the better. However, I think most people will have to use some type of bucket to drain because the whole purpose of having the portable air conditioner is to move it from room to room or as needed use. When not in use the footprint of the unit itself is quite small. So as to not wear out the connections of the portion that sits in the window and the hose it connects with I keep those connected and tucked underneath my desk wrapped in a towel. I hope I won't need to use it too much, but will be glad I have it in case I do need it.

Bought two of these for my daughter's house she had just bought. it is an older home and her AC stopped working while she was on a business trip. I gifted these to her so she could use them until she could get a new HVAC installed. they kept her house very cool during triple digit temps this summer.

Way better than my old machine! I have a large older house that really needs to be cooled at different levels to save on electricity and also needs dehumidified upstairs so I put this in the hallway so that it can help me out. It works great, cools fast. I just wish that the hose was a bit longer but it's what I had expected. The machine is heavy %26 heavy duty, a bit smaller than my other one but cools better. Installation is simple, the packing was really great, they shipped it made to be in pristine condition when you got it, well done!

This unit came very quickly right to my door. Lightweight, on wheels and easy to set up with the window venting parts. I would have given 5 stars but it is a bit louder than I expected. It cools my bedroom quickly and I manage to still fall asleep with the noise. Probably as noisy as a window unit anyways. Otherwise it works great and got it before it got really hot.

Inexpensive and works. Hose connectors aren't snug specially at the appliance. And the remote is only useful for switching on or off. Temperature switch button worked only once now it's stuck on C. And it doesn't remember your settings if unplugged. In humid Florida and on cool only it removed 24 ozs of water in 20 minutes which I consider excellent. I may never have to dehumidify!

The a/c is cold, for this reason more stars…I selected this one because it was supposed to be compatible with a 17” window. The advertising was false. The smallest window it is compatible with is 19.5”. Additionally, the hose adapter is too bulky and cannot be plugged in, as it is obstructed by the window casing. I have a standard small window that opens vertically. I had to get creative with the vent system and really do some engineering to get this unit to work in our house. Had I known this up front, I would NOT have purchased this unit. Hope this helps you make an informed decision about your purchase.

I purchased this AC for my bedroom upon the promise of a quite experience. It has 2 settings, loud and louder. Have to have the TV cranked to 75% to hear over this machine. Sleep mode makes no difference in noise level, my four legged counterpart even went and slept in the living room the first night. Granted it cools the room down at first, later with a setting of 64deg I woke up to 72deg sweating. The noise just doesn't allow for proper sleep as the machine kicks off and on and then later just stops all together as the room heats up before 8am where I live.
