This machine has everything you need!! Flush extension table, all the feet, thread cutter, tons of stitches, lots of sewing room, and is very portable. My new favorite...sorry Patchwork :(
Love it! Works better than the brand I had before. Sews through several layers of fabric and batting like a champ!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sewing machine quit and I've been looking to replace it but I wanted one with all the bells on it. This one has not disappointed me! The C7290Q has a lot more to offer than I'm use to I've had for 2 months and still finding new things to try. I also like that it is capable to mend thicker more heavily duty material.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this sewing machine for my wife as a replacement for her trusty 20 year old singer that was beginning to show its age and extended usage. While it doesn't owe her a dime, she has already confirmed this machine is capable of everything and so much more while also being tremendously easy to use and setup for every ability level. She loves the extreme versatility in having the pre-programmed stitching patterns and she has already started training her sister how to use it too. What an awesome sewing machine. She loves the extra work space table and the led lighting is much more vibrant. I can only hope it lasts as long as her other singer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so excited about my new Singer C7290Q sewing and quilting machine. This baby is way more advanced than my older model and I'm excited to learn how to perfect them. It has a computerized screen and over 140 different stitche patterns. It does embroidery and monogram too. It's AWESOME!!! If you are looking for a multi purpose sewing machine I highly highly recommend you check out what Singer has to offer, I promise you're going to find something you LOVE.
Machine has very nice features; however, the main drawback is that the bottom tension is too loose, and there's no way for the customer to adjust it. I sent three machines back, and they all had the same problem. I do not recommend this model.
Bought this a week ago and it's plastic junk! I had to resort to using my 30 year old basic, no frills Kenmore to finish quilting and binding a small throw blanket. In theory the machine has a lot of nice features, but if it can't see through 3 layers ( cotton / batting / flannel ) then a there's no point advertising it as a machine for quilting.
Advertised ith 417 Stitch Applications, but there is no documentation for this. Zig Zag and other stitches stopped working within a week. No support. Box said a free in-person class was offered, but no class to be found. This might be a great machine, if I could get it to work.
I bought this in March and its useless!! Reverse only works half the time, can't read the stitch selection panel without flashlight, selection of stitches are off, sewing is horrible, keeps bunching up. I hate this machine and regret buying it. I saved up for a long time to buy and feel I was totally ripped off.
I have owned two of these and both had major issues. The first one lasted about 6 months before the computer went out. The second one lasted 35 days before the stopped working and the screen had no display. It was still able to sew a straight line, though no stitches, for about 5 months when the motor just decided to stop functioning. For this price to only have 6 months or less worth of operational sewing machine it's absolutely not worth it.
