[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an upgrade from my previous machine, but this definitely has a learning curve from me going from fairly basic to such a computerized machine. That's not a complaint of course. It will take time for me to learn the whole machine. In order to be more green, they have you download the manual on your phone. It's actually pretty difficult to find trying to search for the C9920, but you can use the same manual as the C430. I would prefer a paper version, but it is what it is. Outside of not having a manual, it's fairly self explanatory. The thread gets wound easily and fast on the bobbin. It comes with a handful of plastic bobbins, larger in size than my previous machine. I can get through a project faster because I have to switch bobbins less often. The embroidery fonts I'm still getting used to. You've got to get the tension right and know which mirroring is happening. Lots of bells and whistles to learn. I do like that you can have the computer memorize a handful of wording. If you have repeat names for projects, it is practical. Although, it's very easy to put in the names and delete too. You can even mix match fonts. The cute borders are awesome too. You can do hearts or airplanes or ducks. Plenty of patterns to choose from. Best of all is probably the stitch memory though. If you're project has lots of parts, this comes in handy! In terms of things it doesn't have, I do wish it had a cover for it. Just for the sake of carrying it and making it less prone to accidents or even dust. It also is much bulkier than my old machine, but that's not a complaint. Just something I noticed. I wouldn't want to carry this around from place to place. This would be more of a keep in one spot and sew. Everything else is beautiful about this. I've been able to play around for a while now and it hasn't glitched. The errors I get on it are human errors and easy to pinpoint. The computer tells you what you're doing wrong. It's a lot of technology, but it's worth it! This is a name that every family knows and it continues to give me great results in projects big and small. My only suggestion, provide a printed manual.
