SINGER Fabric Shaver & Lint Remover, Powerful Portable Defuzzer with 3 Blades & Detachable Catcher

This model has a larger head than those I've used in the past. I feared that they were not working because I didn't hear as much noise but I looked and all the pulls and fabric balls were gone so they are much quieter. One mentioned the lack of instructions but you just lightly pass over the bad areas multiple times til the bad areas are gone. That easy. I was happy to find this. Uses 2 double AA batteries.

With a choice of several of these fabric shavers, I went with the only brand I have known for many years, namely Singer. It is easy to use, seems to be sturdy and reliable. It does an amazing job of restoring the look of older sweaters and other items that had "pilling" from wear and laundering. Am well satisfied with my purchase.

It works. See photos - the socks were worn evenly. After using the fabric shaver, one is restored to almost new condition. I did one test spot on the shirt and you can clearly see where I shaved it. Pleasantly surprised. Easy to clean, too. I wish Singer would make a rechargeable fabric shaver.

We have the soft Jersey material for our sheets and between that and the mattress cover there are Hundreds of little pills that build up and get stuck to the mattress cover. I used to have to sit there for hours while washing sheets and pick them by hand, with this tool it took LESS than half an hour!! Wish I had picked one up Years ago.

I used it to restore a vintage fleece Art Unlimited jacket. I used it on the inside of the fleece, which was severely pilled. It worked great! Went through 4 batteries. I could tell when I needed to empty it, as it started sounding different. To get the cover back on after emptying was a little tricky...kind of had to move it and get it seated perfect before screwing back on.

I only dropped a star because I wish it was rechargeable and not battery powered. Besides that, this little thing has restored vintage baby clothing to like new! I saw other reviews about putting holes in clothing… obviously they're using it incorrectly. You have to use on a flat surface and apply even pressure. No need to manhandle it😆 You may have to use a few passes in different directions, but any poor review was definitely user error.😉

Loved everything about this product except for the following: (1) Battery powered - requires batteries to be purchased extra, non-rechargeable features. (2) Battery compartment cover slides off too easily and frequently. (3) Blades are only three blades instead of six blades, like so many competitors are offering. (4) No replacement blades are supplied with product, nor are there any available to purchase if blades need replacement. Outside of these issues, the shaver works great. Very quiet and easy to use. Does a great job de pilling clothing.

The shaver is for small item clothes only and not for something big like bedding. You have to give it multiple passes to get the fuzz out. It works just takes a bit longer than other shavers. Wasnt happy Walmart did not honor the online price vs the in store price. It was cheaper online by half the price.

I was hoping the negative reviews were flukes as no item is perfect every time it's made. But this worked for exactly 3 minutes and barely got the lent off. At first, I thought it was just because it might be full after 3 minutes… even if it didn't look full to me visually. So I followed the instructions to remove what it did manage to pick up, and it still wouldn't cut back on. I used different sets of new batteries and still nothing. Then, I thought well maybe it just over heated, give it some time to cool off after working for 3 minutes straight. It's been a week and it still won't turn on. Unless you are in a pinch and you need this for one very short usage for a very small section, you will absolutely be throwing your money away. Also, the review about the battery cover is correct. It slides off as you are using it. This product couldn't have been made any worse. A 50 cent razor would be more effective at removing lint.

The battery life on this (requires actual batteries and isn't rechargeable), won't even last for one sweater. Additionally, it's cheaply made, will grab and snag material rather than shave it and clogs up after about 10 seconds of use. This isn't a money saver, it's a close destroyer.
