Love my serger. I printed out the manual and followed it to thread my machine. Pretty easy instructions. Still learning all it will do. Highly recommend this Serger.
My new Singer HD serger is easy to use and a powerful little guy! I'm just learning how to use it and now I'm addicted! Projects get done more quickly since I don't have to finish seams on my regular (but beloved) Singer. It has opened up a whole new sewing world to me and I can't wait to 'serge' ahead!
I have a custom sewing business. I purchased my singer and love it. So much better than the other brands I have purchased before. Would recommend to anyone.
I have not sewn for over 25 years, and this serger is very easy to thread and work on. I am back to making clothes and found my love for sewing again.
My serger is fantastic! Having my seams finished makes my work look professional. Easy to use and YouTube provides many tutorials on threading, use. Great price!
I have never used a Serger. I am not tall but I am thin. It's hard to get clothes that fit my body type. I have been tapering pants and shirts to fit me and it's been a blast!
Ive only used this machine a couple times but i really like it so far. Its serged multiple layers of denim with no issues. The threading, although more difficult than with a normal sewing machine, is still fairly straightforward. I printed the manual out and it goes through the process of threading, recommended tensions, and so much more in detail! I was so nervous to start serging but this machine has made it surprisingly easy! This is my second singer machine and I adore them both.
Serger arrived belt was not on so it wasn't working. Thankfully my husband figured it out for me and easily fixed it. Works fine i just wish it. And with a manual on how to use like sewing machines do.
The thread is either getting tangled, tearing, or not locking… The only plus to this is, it doesn't take long for me to thread the machine b/c I've done so many times, despite ever using it for finalizing a garment.
I wanted to love this Singer serger, but it's been nothing short of a headache from day one. The machine constantly loses tension, threads snap mid-project, and I find myself having to completely rethread it over and over again just to get through a single sewing session. What should take an hour ends up dragging on for several — not because of the sewing itself, but because I spend most of my time fixing issues. The threading process is already complicated enough, but having to redo it multiple times every time I use it has made this machine more of a chore than a tool. I've double-checked that it's threaded correctly and used quality thread, but the problems persist. The inconsistent stitching and constant thread breakage make it impossible to finish clean, professional-looking seams. Honestly, this serger has made me dread working on my projects. I expected better performance and reliability from Singer. If you're looking for a stress-free, dependable serger, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
