I got this for Christmas from my grandma and made two tops and a dress in my first week! I am so obsessed with knowing how to sew now and this machine is so user friendly, I can find a video for everything I need! I highly recommend this machine for young beginners and intermediates. I can imagine this serving me well for years!

I bought this machine a couple years ago and love it. My sister then bought one because she quilts and loves it as well. So when my Grandaughter called and told me she wanted to learn and was going to buy a used one I immediately bought and her one for her Christmas gift. She is using it. She made her first baby quilt for her best friend with no experience on machine. She loves it too. It's so easy to operate.

So far, my Singer sewing machine purchase works like no other sewing machine I have ever owned since I was a teenager when I bought my first sewing machine. I have had other Singer sewing machines but none lasted nor worked as well as this one. I highly recommend it.

I'm just a beginner so not much to compare with but so far it appears to be a very respectable machine . I would recommend a needle threader to make it easier to use but other than that it is all self explanatory. I suspect that it will bring me thousands of hours of joy ,to work and create with this machine.I already made a reading glass cover on the first attempt and I'm very happy with it Have fun !!! Also an extension table can be purchased for quilting. I did and very pleased with this purchase as well. Fits perfectly.

I bought this for my mother for Christmas. She's been sewing for close to 50 years. She opened it and it is missing the plate that protects the bobbin tray and it came with no instructions. She's not super technologically savvy and I was finally able to show her how to access the instructions online. She said it stitches ok, but the fact that it came with next to no instructions and it's missing pieces is unacceptable.

I barely used it and it immediately broke! My first project was an extremely light and thin favric so I didnt think it would give any pressure to the needle. I didnt even finish that project so I barely used it. The next time I used it, I was just tailoring dress pants. good thing i finished the waist and the needle suddenly wasnt aligned with the hole. I took it off, put it back on, adjusted it, and it still would end up on the platform instead of going in the hole. Then the needle ultimately flew off. This is just on the second time I used it. This is supposed to be the strongest :(
