I began sewing as a teen and now am a grandmother, I recently decided to buy a machine to assemble the items I've knitted on my knitting machine. First one was too small and I could barely fit my hands under the needle. The second one could not handle sewing through yarn. I literally just got this yesterday afternoon, opened it up about 30 minutes ago. It is SO EASY to thread and use. Most automatic threaders do not really thread, but I followed the diagram and it worked the first time,! Same for threading bobbin and machine. It's not a fancy-schmancy machine, but it is an excellent one. Plenty of stitch types and sizes. I have already sewn together a shrug that I had previously knitted and now off stitch up the dress; as well. It truly is heavy duty (I use it with 3 Weight yarn items) and absolutely no issues. I can't believe I am here raving about a sewing machine, but I've worked on many over the years and this is the best/easiest/user friendly machine there is. The only con is the it doesn't come with a manual, you must access it online and even then, it does't seem possible to download it. However, you can get a lot of help at the Singer website and there are also very clear videos at YouTube. Do not hold my Singer at fault for my crooked seams - this is all me:-) Happy sewing.

I have not sewn since 8th grade and 36 yrs later I could easily recall what I learned on this sewing machine. I followed the directions and I was quickly sewing my pillows with ease. The machine is a quality and durable machine and sews on duck fabric and burlap with ease! I use this machine to sew pillows for my business.

disclosure. i am a begginner sewer. ok. so you were learning on a smaller machine ( i started with m2100 series) n decided to upgrade right ? well. be prepared! its pretty awesome. aside for ainger vids which are great check out sewing mastery on you yube. i learned so much ! makes using this a breeze! and my i er all experience way more pleasant. i been learning for about a yr. and ao many cuss words iln pilles of thread and hrs wasted cuase i should of watched the videos. even on a small machine im sure youll do so much better. ! anyway. husband has me make iton palm bags and backpack straps so i needed a hvy duty machine. this does not disappoint. singer... please update your videos as some are hard to see very detailed ex auto threader which is amazing! thank you for having that feature! all in all. as i teach my daughter n son how to sew and mend. if they want one i will definitely get them one of thier own.

I've had this machine for a month and a half and it is awesome! I bought it to make my son a costume and it has worked out really good. I bought some heavy duty needles to sew up some jeans but I haven't tried it out yet, I'm sure it'll work. I don't really have any complaints but if I were to have to complain about something it would be the stitching. I wish there was something that showed what all the stitching looked like but I just grabbed some scraps and stitched all the patterns for a layout.

The purchase process was unimaginably simple, my new sewing machine showed up two days after my order was placed. I recommend this machine as it is simple to use, durable, and free of the unnecessary complexities that other machines have. I have been using it to see together canvas and faux fur for Carnival Punks and the machine makes it a breeze even with the thickness of materials used.

Singer fortunately has some great YouTube tutorials for their machines, I had to watch the one for the 44S to learn how to use it. I'm a beginner, and everything I learn so far was from the Singer YouTube channel.

Machine appears to work fairly well. I HATE the fact that a hard copy manuel isn't included. I had to go online %26 print my own out. The video tutorials are (in my opinion) useless. Two small accessory items (seam ripper %26 the button guide) were broken in shipping. But I didn't report the breakage as I probably will never use these items, but the accessories should be packed better. I'm surprised more things weren't broken.

The design is so inconvenient. The bobbin is placed right in front of pressure foot on top where you feed your material. Where it pops open if you’re not careful. Cannot open the little door completely unless you take off pressure foot or use tweezers to grab bobbin in and out! The bobbin Frequently gets all tangled if you use the reverse function. All in all a very poor design and quite aggravating! If I could give it 0 stars that would be too much!!!

It has been used. The settings arent set at factory basekine. the stainless is scratched and fingerprinted!!! there is no bobbin or accessories that are indicated. no instruction book.

This much needed item was delivered to the wrong address. When I got the photo of the door I knew it was not the right one. Same house number, but definitely NOT the right neighborhood! I called and submitted a report to a very nice gentleman who said I would get a refund, but then received this email recently that my claim has been denied. "Thank you for contacting us about order 200012832832680 placed with Walmart.com. After reviewing your request, we found violations of our Returns %26 Refunds policy and/or our Terms of Use. We won't be able to issue a refund or a replacement for your order at this time. Questions? Please View Terms of Use or visit our Help Center." Violations? What violations? Your carrier delivered to the WRONG address and now someone dishonest has a nice new sewing machine, and a family in need of one for work is out of luck, as am I. I would have much preferred to have the sewing machine successfully RE-delivered to the correct home than to get a refund. Now what do we do?
