I love this machine. I have used and still do use, a featherweight singer sewing machine, for many years. My husband talked me into buying this machine. Wasn't really that interested but I did it. Not sorry at all. It is a learning experience for me and I absolutely love it. No regrets. You can teach an old dog new tricks... I have recommended this machine to many of my friends, and some have followed in my footsteps and also are not sorry. Having so much fun with it. It's not hard to learn it. The tutorials are so nice and helpful. I can't say enough about it.

I appreciate having a sewing machine which can handle a variety of fabrics and, I was even able to repair sailcloth! I especially love the variety of stitch options and the one-step button hole function. It is easy to use and I highly recommend for those who work with heavier fabrics!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely not your grandma‘s sewing machine. This machine has all the added features that make sewing a breeze. The options are endless with the different stitching you can choose just by the selection on the wheel. Can I say my favorite favorite feature is the one step button hole, which has been a game changer for me. This machine is so much lighter than you would think with the handle on the top it makes moving it from place to place extremely easy and convenient. I sewed years ago but life got busy and hadn't used the machine in 20 years. Two years ago, I started up again and using this machine has made it so enjoyable to pick back up again. 

This Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine has always been a great investment. I sew almost every day and it is up to the task. very simpler to operate too.

Had it now for 2 weeks and all is well. The first one lasted about 3 years sewing embroidery patches on leather vest and jackets and on denim clothing. Only thing that could be better; I wish the foot would lift higher for thickness of patches and leather to fit easier

With the virus, and so many places requiring facial masks, I felt I had to do my share of playing in forward in making the masks and head wraps for this community. I needed to purchase a sewing machine, and always owned Singer. I am so please and the most fantastic thing about this machine is the needle threader. Even in my teenager years threading a machine was difficult, and not many years later, I dreaded having to conquer the needle threader. When I purchased the machine, I did not know of this terrific detail, and when I read the instructions on threading the machine and came to this feature, I yelled for joy. The machine sews perfectly, and I am very happy with the purchase and highly recommend to anyone looking for a new machine. Plus I thought the price was reasonable.

Machine is built solid. Light is nice and bright - not sure why some complain it is dark. Very easy to use. Quiet and powerful motor. Easy to use foot pedal. Great videos and tips follow purchase. So many stitch applications - still going through them. Comes with dust cover. Upgraded from a basic sewing machine - Should have just spent the extra money for a quality machine. Basic machine died in less than a year.

Machine has some funky features. First the bobbin casing is awkward to get into. Second the loading a bobbin thingy on top thread slips off easily. But most issue for me is the short cord for foot pedal. They could definitely added a few more inches. It's annoying. and I'm short legged.
