[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always used vintage Singer machines, including my grandma's 1960s model, so upgrading to a modern one felt like a big splurge. I was hesitant because of recent criticism toward Singer, but I went with what I knew and chose a feature-packed model—and I'm so glad I did.
The machine is lightweight (a welcome change!) and super intuitive. Setup took five minutes, and I'm especially impressed by the automatic needle threader, bobbin cutter, and the built-in guide for presser feet.
What started as buyer's remorse quickly turned into regret that I didn't upgrade sooner. My first project—with overcast, zigzag, and buttonhole stitches—took just 20 minutes. It would've taken hours on my old machine. I'm already excited to tackle a quilt next. This machine has truly made sewing fun again.
