It's perfect. User friendly and easy to use. Finishes my edges perfectly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a heavy duty sewing machine but takes up very little space. I used cotton threads because it is what I had readily available. The machine was very easy to set up and the instructions on the machine are color coded to make sure each thread is in the correct place. My first attempt was successful although I did have to play around a with the dials to get it where I needed it. I would highly recommend this to experienced and beginners.

I was kind of intimidated, first I have owned, set up %26 threaded; however, Singer site had manual online. Downloaded %26 printed manual (highly recommend you do the same),°, acquainted myself with the basics, followed step-by-step instructions %26 threaded it correctly first time trying. Not all that complicated. color coded path helps. Watched a YouTube video, Australian man was the best, he made it look easy. Serger worked beautifully. completed 2 projects in 5 minutes! Awesome investment for the new, intermediate sewists. Love the Singer Heavy Duty line. Highly Recommend.

Easy to thread and use. This is my first serger and so far no issues. Downloaded the users manual but so far haven't used it. Directions for threading are included in the box.

I absolutely love the beautiful edge stitching that it does. The differential feed setting has been a game changer. Changing that has fixed any issue I had. I can't wait to see what else I can make with this machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I am the farthest thing from a seamstress. I can do basic sewing on a sewing machine and that's about it. I don't make clothes or anything else other than a blanket once in a blue moon. What I do a lot of is hemming things or repurpose stuff from old clothes. My biggest issue I've ever had were my finished edges. Actually, more appropriately called unfinished edges. No matter what I did on a normal sewing machine I could not get those seams and hemmed to stay seamed. This machine is very daunting at first. I had to run quite a few test swatches to learn it but the instructions are very easy to follow. I'm always agreed if those pedals on these powerful machines cuz if you have ever been in the car with me while I'm driving you would totally understand. This one is pretty easy to control after a few test runs to figure out your comfort zone. I'm pretty excited to try out more things now. I like to make my own quilts out of old clothing and this will help keep the swatches from pulling apart better. I only gave it four stars because 1) I hardly ever give out 5 and 2) I hardly ever give out 5…. Lol but I do recommend this ma home even to the newest of novices.

Do not like the fact that good customer service is not important to anyone any more manuals should come with a product. Singer of all businesses should know that. Another problem I have with it is the free arm is very hard to get to, the button to push to take it off seems to be backwards or something. Other than that it is ok.

It doesn't come with a stainless steel bedplate. It was advertised and shown in pictures.
