Before my Embroidery Machine was delivered, I read everything I could find and watched the videos to gain as much knowledge as possible. The videos are very easy to follow. When the machine arrived I was ready to plug it in. The machine is beautiful and the embroidery features are wonderful. I love this machine and very excited to be able to create new projects.
I am singer fan, I have many of the sewing machines and this is the best of the best. I love it!!!!🥰
I'm in love with my new Singer Legacy SE300! I have been watching the Singer videos - which are absolutely awesome by the way - and I practice doing new things every day. I am embroidering everything in sight! I already have a 7285Q Patchwork machine - so I use both to quilt and sew, and now add my own embroidery. The Legacy does everything that more expensive machines do - my friends have other makes that cost much more - but I can do everything with my Singer. I highly recommend it!
I love my Singer Legacy se340!!! I'm a bit new to sewing (started when the quarantine gave me a lot of unwanted free time) I quickly outgrew my little mechanical machine given to me by my Grammie. So for Christmas my sweetie got me this machine. I few like a sewing pro! So many fun stitches and embroidery looks amazing. Endless designs and downloads between the free software with an included library. I like that I can still use the start, pause, tack, and speed controls without having to unplug the foot pedal. My favorite feature as a beginner is I can set the max speed and when I press the pedal it will not go any faster than my selection. I know I am going to love this machine a very long time and won't outgrow it anytime soon. One little negative thing. My large embroidery hoop arrived cracked. This will not lower my rating for the machine. Just a little warning inspect your accessories when your new machine arrives.
I bought this machine a few years ago and love it. The hoop capabilities are great, with only the most expensive machines matching them. The ease of finding new embroidery designs makes the machine worth more.
I took it out of the box 2 weeks ago & really trying to find something wrong with it. I watched the videos & followed them. Yes, when doing embroidery it needs stabilizer or stitches are loopy, but it explains that. I mostly do home decorating & quilting sewing and stitches are as expected. I love the push button start, tack down & thread cutter. I am a Singer sewer & kept my old Singer "just in case", but mostly it will be just for traveling quilting retreats as it is lighter than my new one.
It's a beautiful machine, but you have to purchase a 5x7 hoop separately. The larger and smaller hoops are included. While using the SE300 is fairly easy, overall, keep your user guide close by. It will be super useful. I've not had a lot of time to actually use this machine yet, but what I have noticed so far is that it is a bit more finicky to work with than my other machines. On the plus side, the needle threader actually works really well, the embroidery field is much larger than my older machine's, the larger touch screen makes it nice to be able to see what you're doing, and I just love the features of having so many built in stitches, designs and fonts at my fingertips. I can't wait to have more time with it
I love this machine but am only able to use it limitedly because part of my order is missing which includes the stabilizer for embroidering.
I was really excited to get this machine because of the embroidery side of it. I have owned a Quantum Stylist 9960 for 5 years and needed a replacement when a part broke. Machine worked great when I tried it out. Sewing aspect was good and got to do a couple tries with the embroidery. However on the second day of using it, I was doing some general sewing and it suddenly stopped responding. It would allow me to select a stitch to be able to sew. Turning the machine off or unplugging did nothing to change it. It wouldn't work and was very frustrating. Finally had the idea to put the embroidery arm on it see if it would help. Machine just beeped and wouldn't do anything. Tried it again and it woke up for a minute but then stopped responding. It did seem to come back on another try and would allow me to push buttons and change setting, but I don't trust the machine. Very disappointing. Sent the machine back and got another Quantum stylist.
This was not labeled as a refurbished item. The machine had clearly been removed from the box, used and repackaged. The power cord and several bobbins were missing.
