I purchased this machine to sew upstairs in my room. I have a Quantum 9960 which I love and this machine was purchased as a backup. Well let me tell you, this Machine surpassed my expectations. It's sews great even through several layers and I can't be happier with her. I purchased a refurbished Machine that looked brand new. I love my Singer machines and I recommend it a 100 percent.
I have used this machine for sewing classes. It's a great machine for new sewers and for accomplished stitchers who wants a lighter weight machine
The new pickup machine is pretty cool. Walmart did a great job in informing me that my package was ready for pickup. Just a long line to get in to the store but it moved quickly.
I was very pleased with the machine being threaded upon arrival. Also, I liked the video on the internet explaining how to use the machine. It is very helpful. I have only had it for 2 weeks, but so far, it is very good.
This machine was easy to use right out of the box! I use it for simple small projects like making little zipper bags or fixing a hem. Works so well! It's also a very quiet machine compared to my last sewing machine!
My great niece is excited about learning how to sew on this new sewing machine. I am looking forward to see what she will make.
Works okay. Have had to reinstall the bobbin case & all housing twice, reattach the presser foot and its holder twice - all in first few days. Sounds like it's struggling. Not like the Singer I replaced that was 25 yrs old. Lots of plastic. All around cheap but works. Top is cracked on both sides of carry handle and across the handle, which should have been disclosed, making it the machine not quite fully refurbished to factory standards. I need to finish my project ot else if return it.
I'm not sure if the machine I got was defective or a used/refurbished machine, but it was awful. I've had 3 Singers in the past, so I expected to use it with little difficulty. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. No matter what I did with the top tension, type of thread, or material I ran through it, the top thread broke every single time after about two inches of stitching.
Ive had this machine for almost a month and just started sewing masks about two weeks ago. Tonight I was sewing a mask then had to stop to go make dinner. Just sat back down to finish and the bobbin keeps getting tangled. Ive tried different bobbins and nothing helps. I took it apart and made sure there wasn't lint built up. I'm mad because the machine just stopped working and also, I just added LED lights to the machine two days ago. I better be able to take them off and re-use them. So beware, there are bobbin issues and also, the light sucks. Save yourself the frustration and time and get a different machine.
I've had this model for years and barely use it due to constant bobbin issues. The thread and bobbin are both loaded correctly, even checked against the manual, and no matter what the back side will loop and bunch, break, and even skip stitches. Thread has broken off the bobbin and gotten stuck in the machine, causing major issues. Definitely not a recommended model.
