This is an absolutely beautiful porch mat as it states in the first line of the description. It is made of plastic straw that is very tightly woven as it also states in the description. There are intentional lines in the mat as to be convenient to fold up at it also states in the description. Not sure about some of the negative reviews because it's a great mat at a great price and The description is very clear about what you're getting. The colors and print are very bold and it feels amazing in your bare feet. It's very durable and well made, tight woven and it's bonded around the edges. I've taken some pictures, we have it on our back porch that is screened in, we did staple it to the floor and it lays flat.
I can’t begin to tell you how many compliments I have received on my backyard rugs. The rugs fueled my vision for a spectacular outdoor space. I have purchased the rug (3) times. It’s awesome!
I do enjoy the texture under my feet. One must be careful when moving furniture over the weave as it is delicate. Made is a poly plastic straw like material. Use sliders. Love it! And happy I purchased it. Beautiful pattern and feel:

I loved this rug for my balcony but because it has multiple seams where it folds up I can’t get it to lay flat! It puff up at every seam. This should not be sold as a rug but as a folding beach mat. It’s such a shame because the pattern, color, and that it’s washable is exactly what I was looking for!
This rug has seams, does not lay flat and looks cheap. This rug is not of the quality of other outdoor rugs I have purchased. another factor the better quality rugs are not seamed and arrive rolled up. This one was folded up in a square.
This is not water proof and it rips very easy. Do. Not. Buy
