The saw works well for me. It seems to cut very nicely with little effort to reset the angle. I've worked in construction for years and found these little saws can do a lot of things without the weight and hassle of handling a larger saw. Put it to work and try it for yourself.
I got rid of my old 12" miter saw. It was okay but too big. I only do picture frames now. This saw is perfect for that job. It is more accurate than the big saw and it is easy to move around in the driveway where I do frames.
Saw as described. Works as needed so far. Nice clean cuts. Definitely worth the money.
I liked this saw so much I bought a second one for my cabin. Easy to assemble, cuts nice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this SKIL miter saw for a few weeks now, and it's a great tool for the price. The 10 Amp motor is powerful enough for most home projects, and the sliding feature gives you a decent cutting capacity for wider boards. The single bevel works smoothly, though it would be even better if it had dual bevel functionality. It's lightweight and easy to move around, which is perfect for a small workshop or DIY jobs. Laser guide is accurate enough, but not perfect — still, for basic cuts it does the job. Overall, it's a solid, reliable saw for beginners or casual woodworkers.
Great saw! The only reason why it's 4 and not 5 stars is the depth of the blade the recesses into the bottom. Some 1x4 trim peices I cut i had to flip and cut again. There is an adjustment to lower the blade but you have to slide the saw out. Again, great saw, only complaint.
Nice little saw. Gave up a 10” miter chop saw for this 7 1/4”. Does more than the 10”. I did have to square the fence and I replaced the stock 24 tooth blade with a 60 tooth. Having to square it was easy but that is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
I bought it brand new but unfortunately never got a chance to use it. For the life of me I could not remove the bolt that holds the blade. I took it back to the store to see if someone there was willing to try, but they didn't have anyone, so I had to return it. Other than that it seems like a great saw!
Works great, but the rubber feet come off very easy. Hand to glue them to keep them from popping out.
Works well for my home use.Very satisfied with this tool.
