SKIL LT4832C-11 PWR CORE Brushless 40V 15-inch Cordless String Trimmer, Twist Load, 2.5Ah Battery and Charger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was greeted with this combo kit of an electric string trimmer and blower. After opening the box it took me less than 10 minutes to get up and running to put these two together. All you need is a screw driver to secure a few screws and your done! The electric trimmer has a lot of safety guidelines so you don't accidentally trigger it and works really well. It cut through 2-3 weeks of Florida grass without issue. The blower also uses the same battery so you can easily switch it between machine. The blower blows strong air but also provides a turbo feature that gives it a little more oomph. Both of these tools are easy to carry around and not too heavy, i love these two tools for my grass cutting needs.

Easy to set up . Easy to use . Lightweight. Single string - wish it had 2 or 3 more. Works well. Previously had Ryobi plug in that was over 20 years old and very heavy. I rarely used it due to weight and need to pull out 2 50 foot electric cords. I can use this easily after each mowing.

Excellent trimmer, blower, and battery; a great value as a combo. This combo kit provides more than enough power to meet the needs around our yard. I have used them twice now, to edge and clean up afterwards, and neither time did I spend more than have the battery life. The trimmer has more than enough power for my needs, even at the lower setting. The line is durable, and doesn't need to be 'bumped' every 30 seconds like some other trimmers. The blower has more power than any blower I've had before, and I'm more than happy with this purchase. Yes, with this battery, the trimmer is a bit heavy, but I'm easily able to overlook that because of how well it works.

The trimmer is powerfull and the battery lasts quite a long time. My only problem is it keeps shutting down and I have to restart it. Not sure why this is happening. Will let you know if this problem continues.

All in all a good trimmer. Powerful enough to eat through tough grass and weeds. Never had to urse the higher speed setting yet. I would like to see this unit have a variable speed trigger and a shoulder strap a it gets heavy after using it for a while. That’s why I gave it a 4. The battery seems adequate for a medium sized yard.

Handle is a tad too long. Hard to get it to lay flat and hold the switch. Otherwise it works great

Works only on light grass. The string just breaks on weeds and the bump and feed string feature does not work. Returned the unit. Very disappointed.

This was the number one purchase of the year ! My husband didn't think he wanted to go electric, know he wants to bye all electric mowers and blowers!! We love this new SKIL 40v , 14 in. , String trimmer kit ! ! :) thank you 😊

I have always only had a gas trimmer and was very reluctant to purchase this item, but did so. The battery life is very impressive and I was amazed at how much lighter the string trimmer is as opposed to a gas one. Thank you!

The equivalent to a gas powered trimmer without the hassle. The charger is insanely fast with a full charge in less than an hour and the trimmer is a powerhouse plowing through thick brush. Switch to low for regular trimming around the house. A purchase I don’t regret and you won’t either.
