Yard work just got a serious upgrade!
Excellent trimmer, blower, and battery; a great value as a combo.This combo kit provides more than enough power to meet the needs around our yard. I have used them twice now, to edge and clean up afterwards, and neither time did I spend more than have the battery life. The trimmer has more than enough power for my needs, even at the lower setting. The line is durable, and doesn't need to be 'bumped' every 30 seconds like some other trimmers. The blower has more power than any blower I've had before, and I'm more than happy with this purchase. Yes, with this battery, the trimmer is a bit heavy, but I'm easily able to overlook that because of how well it works.

Efficient tool
I love the dual speed and the top mounted crank for string loading. This version is much easier to turn than the last version. As always the tool cuts efficiently with no unwarranted line breaks.

great product
after using a ryobi that spit out the whole role of string too many times, the skil trimmer is so much better, the battery holds a charge for more than one trim a week apart. The cutting string is on both sides, so two is better than one.

Good value to get the job done.
Very easy to take out of the box and get started. Battery charges more than sufficient to finish my property. Also easy to reload string.

Easy, affordable, and well balanced.
The unit is surprisingly powerful, easy to use and control the speed. Easy to assemble and add trimmer line. Well balanced with bump feed feature.

awesome light weight tough weedeater. battery lasted about 30-40 min going nonstop. ill just have to get some back ups

Really gets the work done
A very powerful string trimmer with good battery life. It's heavy and you should include a shoulder strap with it.

Too heavy for a 76 year old woman
My husband and I purchased this trimmer when the battery from one we had finally quit (it wasn't a Skil). I have trouble holding it so it is awkward to maneuver. My arms get sore quickly. I guess I'll have to have my husband do the trimming from now on.

I Wouldn't Purchase This Trimmer Again
This Trimmer is awkward to use. Heavy, long and gangly. Battery life is short. I noticed the head slows down during continuous usage. I'm guessing from the trimmer head getting warmer to hot from use. Battery life approximately 50 minutes when using with blower on a small yard.
