This little guy is great I've got about every power tool you could own at this point. This bridges a gap for me. I can get in really tight places my normal drill drivers won't fit. This saves me time plus it's so light I can hook it on my belt to climb a long latter and being small doesn't weight me down or get in the way. It's worth every dollar. If your on the fence about 12v like I was they have come along way. If your going to run it all day invest in the bigger battery but if your a moderate user the small battery holds up fine. With the fast charge you could probably get by if you have a spare battery. Not your Dad's skil more like your grandfather's but more compact and new tech.
I love this impact driver! It's small and light, it lasts all day. I literally spent all day driving screws into sheet metal and never had to charge the battery! It was still on a half charge at the end of the day. And it's so light It does not wear out my arm. The LED light is super bright and I find myself using it as a flashlight often. I love this drill!
The best in it's class, I like it, it's very light and powerful , I used it for home improvement, it's helps a lot as I don't have to carry the 20V anymore for the task
Excellent tools for the DIYer. Improved my ability to make home repairs easier and quicker. Powerful and long lasting battery. My work uses higher priced power tools, and I am happy with the performance of the Skil brand tools.
Very good impact driver, useful features. I shopped around and looked at many similar tools, I am glad I bought the Skill Impact driver. Great quality and compact size. Very happy with my purchase.
This tool is just what I was looking for! It's very powerful , charge lasts forever and charges my phone so I can listen all day to my tunes on my ear buds!
A little weaker when breaking bolts, if you use a breaking bar, impact will work
Works great for a 12v and the price is very fair for the quality. I'm a huge fan of the halo light and the usb on the batteries is awesome. I use the batteries to charge random things just out of convenience. The only complaint I would have is for a 12v impact its pretty big I wish it was just a little smaller. It feels alot like a 18 or 20v weight wise.
To start, I use this Drill as a Commercial Electrician doing light duty work. The pros: 1. Speed control is great. Love having 2 speed modes on a 12v impact 2. Work light is fantastic. It does make the front of the drill a little bulkier than the competitors, however it is really bright and lights up your work area nicely without casting any shadows. 3. The Torque is excellent for a 12v. 4. It came with 2 2AH Batteries! Unheard of at their sale price. The cons: 1. It's a bit on the heavy side, only slightly lighter than my 20v dewalt brushless impact driver, but noticeably heavier than my brushed 12v makita impact. 2. As mentioned above, the front of the Drill is pretty bulky due to the LED halo, so getting into right places might be more cumbersome than it would be otherwise. But hey, at least you'll be able to see what's in front of the drill. 3. For some reason, the drill doesn't like to run at low speeds in high(er) torque applications such as tightening a set screw or flushing a wood screw in wood. It will start to turn and the, stop, flash it's lights, and the impact will quit. It is a wee bit annoying. 4. The biggest issue of all, which is why I dropped a star, is the 1/4” shank does not hold bits securely inside of it. It does not take much pressure to push a bit inside of it without the release, and nor does it take much to pull it back out, without using the release. I expect my drills to hold on to my bits with zeal. Overall, it's decent quality and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Great drill for the most part. I put together an entire wooden play set for my kids on a single battery! My only complaint is that there is a delay when you first pull the trigger. If not for that I would give 5 stars.
