SKILSAW Spt67M8-01 7-1/4-Inch Magnesium Left Blade Sidewinder Circular Saw

Incredible saw. All the power you need, great build quality, and I love the Left Blade format. I bought this to downgrade from a skil wormdrive. Also a great saw but was just more power and heft than I needed. If you are wondering whether this is enough saw… it is. Very easily holds the line, fast cuts through 2x4s and dense 5/8 plywood.

Love this song so much easier than I have to look over top of a regular right handed saw. Would be awesome if I had a accurate laser pointer line

There's an old proverb - "The stingy person pays the most". This is true in buying tools. Yes, the Skilsaw is more expensive, but what a joy to use and what a quality product - near effortless, almost no kickback, just everything a circular saw should be. Top tip: blow it down with compressed air after use, it'll thank you for it.

Tool build and performance are 5 Star. Blade on the left and light weight are a big plus. Plenty of power. All adjustments are easy to use. A hanging hook would have been nice. Also, a dust chute or port that would allow dust collection would have been a great feature so that the tool could be used indoors......but I realize this is not a big need on construction sites.

Where has this saw been all my life? First time using a left bladed sidewinder and boy does it make a difference. Sight line is perfect, saw performed flawlessly through tough the entire day. The lightweight resin body and magnesium plate and guard really help to reduce fatigue. Love this saw!

No silly safety switch...trigger lights this baby up, like it always should. Left side blade gives me a perfect line of sight...and light enough to cut with one hand. Huge upgrade compared to my old Craftsman. If you don't like using your circ saw, get this one...you'll be reaching for it all the time.

I have used this saw four weeks now cutting up 2X4's and doing some ripping on 23/32 OSB and plywood for a project built. Easy to maneuver and light weight for such a powerful motor. Faceplate was the reason I went with model as it allows for attachments of accessories to cut straight or angled cuts. The one con is that it does not come with a fence plate.

The left-handed setup allows an accurate cut from the start and the blade tracks true throughout each cut.

This is a great saw. But it could use an improvement by replacing the existing base plate (foot), which is currently made out of magnesium with steel. This is a saw meant for use on the job, i.e. construction sites, which means it's in use in a rough environment. While magnesium may reduce weight it breaks rather easy.
