Received my original skull shaver platinum pitbull platinum replacement blade. HANDS DOWN the best blades in the business. Quality and craftsmanship of these blades are second to none. These past holidays I received a “knock off” head shaver that resembles the skull shaver. I can tell you from experience they aren't even close to being in the same league as the original. In fact- getting those warranted me to go ahead and order the original replacement blades when it could have been just as easy to use the other product for a bit. Once you have had the original skull shaver shave everything else is second best.
I've been using this product for 7 years and I love it . I love the machine . Always does the job and I'm always happy. I have two machines and I cannot live without it. Will be a customer for life. I recommended this machine to like seven people and they all got the machine. They always thanking me.
Really love this head shaver. As long as I do it every three days it has no problem and doesn't take too long to do compared to the razors I used to buy. It gives a really nice close shave and I've never got any cuts from it. I was able to get over six months out of my first razor head but I used it until it was making noises it shouldn't make. I recommend this to anyone with an unfortunate head of hair such as myself.
I have a older Bald Eagle Shaver. I did not see that razor listed anymore. I thought the Forte looked the same. But after the blades arrived. I saw that the mounts are different. I was able to take the mount from the old blade and put it on the new one. It works great excellent shave. I wish you had not discontinued the blades. Because the razor still works just fine.
I was using the new style Forte 4 Head and ordered the old style Forte 5 head as a replacement for my Pitbull Gold shaver (saved $20 on 2 blades). It works well although I prefer the new style snap off blades, they are easier to clean. I don't see a lot of advantage to having 5 heads vs 4, both work equally well for me when used every couple of days. I will likely order the new style next time, if available.
I have reviewed the four blade one and indicated the shave is close but not quite. The five blade is closer and I appreciate that. I have only had this blade for a week and have found improved shave results. I think the middle blade hit some spots the four blade missed. I'm hoping that after a few more days it will be the perfect blade for me.
I had the newer cooler looking 4 rotor head before trying this 5 blade. This one is a bit cheaper. This one does almost as good of a job as the 4 blade- in terms of a close and fast shave- and I like it- but I think I will go back to the 4 blade when it is time to replace this one. It is very smooth thought and overall does a great job.
I don't like the way the blades come off of the head. I known by design this is the way it has to work but having to take each individual blade off is a bit of a pain. I used it the first time with shaving cream. When I was done I rinsed it off. When I went to use it a second time- I went to use it dry and when I pressed the power button- the blades did not spin- only the head clicked and that was it. I disconnected the head- took each blade off and ran them under the water. The blades started spinning and it was working fine.
This was to replace my original blades that came with my Pitbull platinum. While they work, the major issue is keeping the clean and hair free. The other blade was easy you just opened it and washed it out, this one has 5 separate heads that make cleaning a chore.
I thought with more blades and coverage this would get the job done. For my hair texture this producer doesn't serve me as much of a purpose. This who have thinner hair less coarse and balding- this is one may be the one to consider. I'm not close to balding have very thick hair- but during this pandemic I didn't think it was wise to grow unmanageable hair for months.
