Skullcandy Terrain Large XT Compact Tough Wireless Speaker

The Skullcandy Terrain XT is a surprisingly solid Bluetooth speaker for the price, especially if you want something loud, portable, and durable without spending premium JBL or Bose money. Right away, the biggest thing you notice is the bass — this speaker pushes out deep, punchy low-end sound that works really well for hip-hop, EDM, rock, and gaming audio. It gets loud enough for small gatherings, outdoor hangouts, or just filling a room with music. One of the best features is the rugged design. The Terrain XT feels tough and built to survive everyday use, and the IPX7 waterproof rating means you don’t really have to worry about rain, splashes, or taking it outside. The compact shape also makes it easy to throw into a backpack or carry around for trips, camping, or parties. Skullcandy also includes Multi-Link and True Wireless Stereo support, so you can pair multiple speakers together for a much larger sound setup. Battery life is another strong point. The speaker can last around 14–18 hours depending on volume levels, which is more than enough for most full-day outings or long gaming sessions. Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity also helps keep the connection stable and quick to pair. The sound quality overall is good, but not perfect. Bass is definitely the focus here, so mids and highs can sometimes feel less detailed compared to more expensive speakers. Some reviews online mention that vocals can sound slightly muddy at higher volumes, and audiophiles probably won’t love the tuning. There have also been a few reported Bluetooth issues from Android users online, especially with certain Google Pixel devices. Some users experienced muffled audio problems after phone updates, though community fixes were found through Android developer settings. Final Score Sound Quality: 8/10 Bass: 9/10 Durability: 9/10 Battery Life: 8.5/10 Value: 9/10 Overall For the money, the Skullcandy Terrain XT is a great budget-friendly portable speaker. It’s loud, bass-heavy, waterproof, and built for outdoor use. If you care most about fun sound, portability, and durability, it’s an easy recommendation. If you want super detailed audio clarity or premium-level sound balance, you may want something higher-end.

It’s a good product, in open spaces you won’t notice how good it sounds, but when putting into a room, things changes. Given the multilink feature you can truly build your home stereo as you wish, i’m about to get 2 terrain minis so they highlight the high and mids and two terrain xl to give power to mids and lows

This is by far the best portable speaker I've ever used or heard. The volume is pristine! The audio is so clear and you can hear every detail in the music. The video is only 7 clicks on my phone. It gets insanely loud! The light is a nice addition and you can change the lighting function. It has a Bluetooth function and a true wireless pairing function. Additionally it has an Auracast feature which allows it to connect with any other speaker that has this function so you can have multiple speakers playing from one audio source. The battery lasts FOREVER!! It's actually insane. Theres also a battery boost function but I don't know that you'll need to use it for how long the battery lasts. There's also a clip you can use which makes it easier to bring from place to place. I would purchase this speaker over a more expensive version. This speaker is an amazing price. You literally cannot beat it! It's the best speaker for the price range because of the quality of the sound and the amount of features it has. Like I said I would even get this over a more expensive version. It's such a small speaker for such a big pay off in sound, clarity and functionality!

We use this for our store since we can’t figure out the sound system (landlords can’t either), and it works great! Easily connected, great sound quality, good projection throughout the store (1000sqft).

Great sound quality, easy Bluetooth pairing, and long battery life. Perfect speaker for music at home or outdoors! It comes with easy to use controls and includes a durable, reinforced charging cable.

Connects really with Bluetooth, sound is pretty good and it has a good lasting quality. I use it for Aqua class and hasn’t died on me like some other brands have. Power level is really good inside and indoor pool does decent . Battery life last good amount of time.

K, straight up , these things are crap. Bose or Jbl nake a better speaker. I purchased 2 of these to make a makeshift stereo for the apartment i occupy. No bass at all. The skullcandy app does nothing to alter the tember of the speaker. However, these do make a hood Tv speaker and prefer them to the built in. Like the pairing option. Maybe i need more than 2 as you can connect 99 of these.

We have used these speakers at a small group meeting to listen to an audio book. I tried playing it on my iPhone but we are all getting older and it wasn’t loud enough. These speakers linked to my iPhone has worked fantastic. The battery life is amazing and the sound quality is great.

This is a great speaker. It’s rugged, small, great sound quality with fantastic battery life. My only complaint is it does not get as loud as I feel it should. I work construction, therefore I need it to be LOUD over all the other background noises, and this doesn’t quite get it done. I still love it though

very quiet speaker with no bass whatsoever at all have had way better speakers for the price from other makers. their earbuds work great but I would not suggest this particular speaker.
