I suffer from dandruff but this goes on like a type of grease, slowing down my flakiness and making my scalp feel refreshed!

The consistency is that of unrefined coconut oil which makes it solid; however, it melts upon contact with the skin. The scent is pleasant and doesn't seem to be overpowering. I felt my scalp was hydrated by regular use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very interested in trying the Sky Organics products, as well as Batana oil, so I was grateful to receive this product. I have very coarse and naturally curly hair, so I love a good oil for my scalp and hair - it needs to be nourished and tamed. I was not a fan of the solid product that I need to dig into with my nail. A spatula of some sort would have been helpful. The solid product does solidify with the heat of the hands quite quickly, and it was easy to apply. The smell is lovely and using it as a finishing product left my hair shiny.

My scalp feels hydrated and healthy. However, I do not like the scent. It reminded me of how my hair used to smell after working a shift bartending when they used to smoke in the establishment. I don't know why, but I could not get past that smell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite thing is that this smells amazing! It is coconut oil, mint, and citrus. It leaves my scalp feeling clean and smooth. I use curly hair so I use it directly on my scalp but you can also use just on hair. It comes out of the container quite hard but if you add water it become workable. It’s a small package but I a little goes a long way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has a minty scent to it without it feeling tingly when applied to the scalp. The product is waxy and it did take a lot of pressure to get the product out of the container. It didn't really melt well in my hands despite working it on my palm. In the shower, with warm water, it did dissolve easier but still not fully. It creates a thick, heavy paste. It's not easy to incorporate into the scalp when you have a lot of hair because I want it to go directly on my scalp and not on my hair. After use, I went in with a regular shampoo, twice and I could still feel a waxy layer on my hair. Now, I only use it on the back area and try to avoid the crown of my head where it can get oily first, and I opt out of conditioner those days as well. A hassle to have to adjust my whole routine when using this scalp product. I definitely don't use it everyday so it's not too burdensome. I haven't really noticed any direct benefits or relief from using this product. I do love that it's simple ingredients but I don't think I can recommend or purchase this in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When initially receiving this Sky Organics Batana & Coconut Oil Hair & Scalp Treatment complimentary to try, I was expecting a more conditioner-consistency hair-mask product. This is not that. This is a thicker consistency, more of a waxy feel. You have to melt it in between your fingers to get it to a consistency where you can add it to your scalp. With thick hair this was a little difficult, especially in the back of my head and while showering. I used it as a pre-shampoo treatment as it recommended. I did like how it felt going in my dry itchy scalp. It has a minty-cool feel. It washed out cleanly and my hair blowdried well. Scalp felt moisturized. The ingredients I liked are the natural coconut oil, batana oil, and spearmint orange essential oils. Meant to leave hair shiny and moisturized. Overall, I think this would work well for someone with braids who needs some moisturizing on their scalp, but I don't think I would recommend it as a pre-shampoo mask, it was hard to get onto my full scalp with my thick hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There’s nothing really wrong with this product but I just don’t see it being a part of my personal routine. I guess the main thing I don’t like is that because it’s coconut oil based, it’s basically solid so you have to scrap it out of the jar and warm it up in your hands until it’s ready to use. I much prefer just doing a scalp oil treatment prior to washing my hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to work the product into my curls and scalp very nicely. It kept my hair feeling nice and moisturized throughout the day. My only thing I wasn't a fan of is the smell. It has a faint medicine type smell to me. The product works well on my hair but just not a fan of the fragrance.
