Great game. My son LOVES it!
My son absolutely loves this product. I like the fact that he has to use his brain to figure out which character will help him get past certain levels. I ordered this product online from Sam's on Black Friday. It was the cheapest place that I saw advertised and I got free shipping!

Great game but...
First off, Sam's was great, purchased the starter pack at black friday price online. Shipping was fast. My only qualm is about the Skylanders series itself. We are now on the 3rd set, and each set requires a new starter pack with a new portal. Seems to me the makers should be able to come up with a game only option that works with existing portals.

My boys absolutely love it!!
I ordered this starter pack on Cyber Monday and the price was AMAZING and I couldn't let it pass my by. Sam's offered it at 50% OFF!!! My boys are ages 6 and 8, and they LOVE THIS GAME.

Another hit for the kids and on my wallet
The game itself, like Skylanders games before it, is very well done. My kids absolutely love it, and if I'm going to be totally honest I very much enjoy playing it too. Just be prepared for yet another assault on your wallet after buying this game (just like all other Skylanders games). You'll be buying more and more characters, in some cases just to unlock parts of the game you've already otherwise purchased. The decision to require a new portal of power is somewhat disappointing, it eliminates the lower cost option that we had with Skylanders Giants. As long as you know what you're getting into with the Skylanders franchise (and again, the kids do love it), Activision has found another successful way to separate parents from their money.
