Slice, SLI10554, Auto Retract Utility Knife, 1 Each, Gray,Green

Used one of these for over 2 years to cut up cardboard boxes for recycling and it is still sharp. Recently I purchased 40 to hand out to our EHS Team at a conference.

Perfect for a safety-conscious environment.

Trial by fire so to speak after checking if the Knife in fact was sharp I tested on several materials,, paper, card board , gasket material, rubber belting with and with out cords, tape on boxes, leather gloves and skin( yes I tried on my own skin ) results were impressive to say the least the knifes cut everything I tested it on and cut very well with the exception of the skin while the knife did scratch the surface of the skin (i have had worst scratches from a cat) the amount of pressure applied to scratch the skin with this knife using the same pressure with a regular steel blade the result would have be much for severe.. I wouldn't claim this knife wont cut the skin but the severity or the cut will be lessened using this knife over that of steel blades.. fact is it a knife and should be treated as any knife and used in a safe manor with caution

This product at first had some problems. I discussed it with the CEO. They were already in production to fix the issue. The knives that proved to be faulty were replaced at no charge.

Great alternative to a box blade! Totally love Slice products, work great while providing the safety my company wants. Especially LOVE that they donate a percentage of sales to Autism!

This knife is excellent. It cuts everything great but is safe on skin. It will not cut your skin. Quality of the ceramic blade is good. I also like the auto-retracting feature.

I think the ceramic blades are great, the operators however did not like them. I believe that we will try the smart retract next.

There seems to be a flaw in the design of the knife. If the blade breaks off below the locking system, there is no way to get the broken blade out. The knife can not be taken apart without destroying it, so the knife itself becomes useless. I was hoping to be able to use this product in our plant but I am not sure at this time that we will be able to do that because of this issue. I bought replacement blades, but if you can't get the broken one out, then you can not use the replacement blades.

Good product but bad blades I didn't like how dull the blade was and it didn't pass the paper test if there were metal blades that you could buy it would be a better product
