Okay so far, I love this paddle. I am a beginner/intermediate player that likes to hit the ball hard. I struggle with control and dinking and this paddle has made a huge difference. My power hits now stay within the court and are close to the end lines and the side lines. Dinking is much easier to control with soft touches and doesn't fly out of bounds. I know I still have time to evaluate the paddle, but so far it's a keeper. I would like to try out the HALO, so if this doesn't work out maybe I will upgrade, but so far so great!
The handle is very comfortable for me. I like the light weight, and I'm having a bit more control on my returns, especially my backhands.
I love it. I'm getting more of the shots that I was missing before because of the wider paddle surface and the thicker edging.
I have been playing with my new SLK Evo 2.0 for a little over one week. While I am still getting used to the difference in power and control, I have yet to perfect my spin. Overall, the paddle is light weight, feels good when the ball leaps off the face, sounds great with a "pop" that everyone has been noticing. I feel I have more control on my placement shots so I am going to continue working with it and looking forward to improving my pickleball skills. Thanks for making such a user friendly paddle!
Fairly new to pickleball (less than one year). Graduated from cheap starter paddle to the SLK EVO 2.0 Max. Chose the CONTROL version to help improve my ball placement. So far, I am enjoying the paddle. It is lightweight and the surface gives slightly so that the ball does not shoot off the paddle too quickly. There still is enough power for harder shots. Good balance overall. The only change I would recommend is to make the handle and paddle edging black rather than white, as the white gets dirty and scuffed easily.
I feel like this is a great mid range players paddle. I do feel like there is times I go to make an easy shot and I don't get the shot I intend off. It's a solid paddle for a solid price.
Because I'm new to pickleball, wanted to get a paddle that offered a range of power and control so thought the hybrid was the answer. However the sweet spot is too small and any hit outside the sweet spot (top or sides) reacts with a dead thud. Others with same paddle mentioned same comment. If you do hit in sweet spot it reacts well. Maybe if I were a level 4 or higher it might be good, but as a beginner/Intermediate level it does not provide the forgiveness and control I was hoping for.
Was looking forward to transitioning from my Head Elite to this paddle but, unfortunately, it didn't work for me, not as responsive. Love the Selkirk no hassle policy, though. I tried it one full week, processed the return promptly & am expecting a full refund. Thank you, Selkirk.
The EVO 2.0 is an ok paddle. I didn't really know what I was getting because I wasn't able to test it out. Mainly I liked the price compared to many of the others, so I blindly went with it. After playing a few times with it I am getting more used to it but it's still a bit heavy and clunky feeling. Not found of the edge piece. I tried a friend's Selkirk Luxx and there was a huge difference in the feel. Much lighter with more control, I should have just splurged and went with the Luxx.
Horrible paddle extremely top heavy I'm not a pro but have let pros test and look at it and agreed it's a horrible paddle to have
