Slofoodgroup Birchwood Smoked Sea Salt - 4 oz.

The salt is high quality, a little course (to me) crystal salt and the scent is amazingly smoky. I realized, though, that to have the smoke flavor move beyond subtle in the recipes I was using it for (I tried popcorn, pasta sauce, salad dressing) it took too much salt for my liking. I think I will stick to smoked paprika instead. That said, the aroma created by this salt is wonderful if you are looking for the smoky smell.

I have been hooked on smoked sea salt for several years now. I use a sprinkle in my coffee every day (don't knock it 'til you try it!) and I use it in much of my cooking to impart that deep, rich flavor I just can't get enough of. I have tried many different varieties, brands, etc and this one seems to have the best aroma and flavor to me of all the ones I've used in the past. I have subscribed to get it sent regularly!

I'm addicted to smoked salt! I use it every day. I like trying different types to experience the subtleties. This birchwood smoked salt is possibly the tastiest one I've ever had! I'm already nearly finished and ready to order more.

Packaging is lovely and shipment was carefully done. 2 oz is a very small amount for the price but a little goes a long way. Used carefully, it adds earthiness and a bit of mystery to your cooking. I would definitely buy again.
