Slumdog Millionaire blew me away like no movie has before. I thought The Dark Knight was a better one, but I guess this one had its right to win Best Picture 2008. This movie gives a good in-sight of what happens in India. Towards the end of the movie, when it came to the final question of the game, I was at the edge of my seat. Whether your watching it for the first time or watching it again, Slumdog Millionaire is unforgettable.

Picked this up at walmart.com for $8. Could not find it anywere online or even in the Walmart stores for anything close to that price. There are no real explicit scenes, but is rated R for the violence, particularly some disturbing scenes of violence against children. I did let my 15 yo son watch it, however, because I felt the social and cultural lessons were redeeming enough to justify it.

This movie sat on our counter for several days because my husband wasn't interested in seeing it with me. Finally I tricked him into seeing it. Once we started watching he was riveted. We were both surprised by this movie. It was different than either of us had expected. I would recommend this movie to both men and women.

I got this DVD on a super discount (about 60% off I believe) and it had free shipping to my house, and it got here before Christmas! It was a gift for my sister. This was an absolutely wonderful experience with Walmart online (this was my first time buying online). I recommend this to anyone, plus the movie is GREAT! Order the soundtrack :)

This is hands down the best film I have seen in a long time. The sound track is great just for starters. MIA paper planes is my favorite new song. Anyhow, this film gives insight into the slums of India that I almost can't believe to be true. Things that I never would have imagined. The story made me actually care what happens in the end, I really felt for Nev Patel as the main character in the movie. This movie transitions through his story so well and by the end everything is wrapped up into a very nice package. I highly recommend it to anyone with the desire to be entertained.

This movie reminds us to NEVER GIVE UP, that we can reach unthinkable goals if we simply keep trying to survive. It also shows what children in other countries have to endure. A good teaching tool.

I love this movie and bought it as a gift to give. I had read that some of the first disks did not have the special features listed on the back. I waited nearly 2 months after this had been discovered and then ordered a new copy, I did not just pick one off the store shelf. I was disappointed to learn that the problem had not been taken care of at the merchants end. Fox media has set up a hotline and website to replace the disc for one with features, which I appreciate, but now I have to mail in the disc and wait for another one to come. Not a great gift to have given.

I would have preferred it be full screen. The sub-titles in the beginning were VERY hard to read. My daughter had seen it at the theater and she knew what the subtitles said, so she had to read them for me and my husband. Once the sub-titles stopped, the movie was very enjoyable. Although, I wish I could have gotten it in Full screen.

Have not watched yet, it is required for my oldest granddaughter for a university course she is taking. Cannot give an accurate review, only one star due do the above fact!

DVD arrived and it was in Black and White. No color. Did not order a black and white film but since I only paid $5.89 for it, it's not worth the trouble of returning. I will not be purchasing any other movies from you.
