Helps keep the critter happy.
The box was stuffed full. The first time I purchased this I did not expect the box. I was it was a little easier to close up after opening it once but honestly I emptied it into a bin so easier to pull out and put in the cage. The guinea pig was happy with it.

I would have liked this hay but I specifically ordered the 3rd cutting Timothy Hay because it's supposed to be softer than the 1st and 2nd cuttings. Our Guinea Pigs do best with a blend of the 1st and 2nd cuttings for the majority of their hay to eat. I wanted the softer 3rd cutting because one of our Piggies just had surgery and had three big incisions stitched on her sides and belly. I didn't want her poked by harder hay in her hay bin for potty.

The hay was very good. The thing that was bad was it came in a box and not a bag. the box made it hard to get out without making a mess. I don't recommend.
