Smart Clock Essential

Pros: Awesome alarm, easy to read letters, weather and temperature icons. You can change the volume and other options within your google home app or by speaking to the speaker. There is also 4 buttons used to set the alarm manually, change light or volume if needed. Cons: The night light on the back turns on every time when the alarm sounds. There is no way to disable the light. Seems like there needs to be an update to this product from Lenovo to allow that option. How long product has been owned: This product has been used for about one week at the time this review has been written. I purchased not just one but three of these once I purchased one and found that it was a really neat product. It is nice having all the speakers (have two other google minis in the house) all connected together that you can broadcast a message to each speaker. This Lenovo essentials alarm clock works and is run by google assistant. Does everything like other google home products and more! I would highly recommend this product to family and friends. It would be nice to get another one on sale to put in the master bathroom to have a clock and listen to the morning news.

Cheap, useful alarm clock and google home... Much better than the Google home mini! It picks up my fiances voice from downstairs while he's talking to our other google home! Amazing quality!

Awesome clock. The time and temperature is big enough for me to read without my glasses. When I turn out the lights the display dims automatically. I use the Google Assistant to turn lights on and off, play music, and get weather. I also have the Lenovo smart clock with LCD display but I prefer this Lenovo Smart Clock Essentials because of the easy to read display and it has a lower price. Such a great upgrade to your lowsy old alarm clock for the price you can't beat it. Great for a gift as well. You can talk to it just like google homes.

This little clock is so cool. It ends so many debates that my family and I have. All we have to say is "Hey Google" and we get the answers we need right in the moment. I also LOVE the fact that I can play my music with a simple, "Hey Google, Play some music." It plays pretty loud too. This has been my favorite Holiday purchase so far. Set up was really easy, only took a couple minutes.

Love this clock! it has the right amount of light to display time and temperature, I love just speaking to it to set alarms, turn them off, check the weather and change the volume no more having to find buttons to push when I'm waking up. I don't think the night light is very bright but I've only asked the clock to use this function once and the charging port does not support my phone so I can't use it, and there is a lot of base in speaker if your listening to music. It's definitely a great buy for anyone who doesn't want to have to find the off button when their half asleep. The clock is very small but I didn't need a big one.

I received this clock for Christmas of 2020, and it worked well for my needs until about a couple months ago when certain segments in the LED numbers stopped showing up when the clock automatically switches to dim mode. I called Lenovo customer support, but even though I've had the clock less than a year, they say that the product is no longer under warranty. Their solution was to send me to Best Buy to have it repaired. The clock is selling for $29.99, and it's hard to believe that Best Buy would do any sort of repair for less than $29.99. The company does not stand behind their products, and I will not be purchasing Lenovo again.
