Smart Toss Colors, Shapes & Numbers Bean Bag Tossing Game

This is a great learning toy. Game can be used for really any age. and it can be used in many ways. There are 4 games in 1 (shapes, numbers, colors, and free play). There are 2 game on one side, you can then undo the velco at the top and turn it over, re-velco it and there are 2 games on the other side. In addition to using this set as a bean bag toss game, you can do several other things. We use it with our kids to learn & practice colors, shapes and numbers. Since each bean bag is a different color and has a number on it, our kids like to match the number on the bean bag to the correct number pocket and also match the bean bag color with the correct color pocket. You can also have them put bean bags in shape pockets. For younger kids they can just place bean bags in pockets, and older kids can practice throwing bean bags into pockets. This game encourages kids to be active and have fun and learn at the same time. Game is very colorful and a lot of fun. Game is made to stand on it's own. Game includes 12 bean bags that are all different colors and all have numbers on them. Also has 2 storange pockets on the back of the game that velcro shut that hold all of the bean bags. When not playing, game folds flat for easy storage & has 2 handles for carrying. Game is very sturdy and well made. Made of water resistant fabric so could be used indoors or outdoors, and can easily be wiped cleaned. Bean bags are made of thick material and are sewn very well. I think this game would be fun for kids of any age. Would be great for a classroom or daycare or alot of fun at a birthday party. I think it would also be a great gift. My 2 boys love it!!

This smart toss game was very helpful. It helped my granddaughter, who has a sensory problem and is a little slow, with her coordination, math, shapes and colors. Liked that it could be carried different places without having to carry the box along. Great game for parents and children.

I really love this Bean Bag toss game out of all three that I own. It is great to have four different options to use and the number bean bags that came with it are very useful. I would have liked to have the six different shape bean bags too!

The Learning Resources Smart Toss is a welcome toy and automatically sets up at the proper angle for indoor or outdoor fun. It has at least four colorful and simple games within one unit. The handy, attached hook-and-loop bean bag pockets encourage storage inside the toy itself. Although it lends itself to competition between young children from age 3, the older children enjoy the added bonus of the numbers and shape identification excitement. It is well made and can endure ordinary child play with the young ones leaning and/or falling on it. No batteries are required and it can also be enjoyed by a single child as quiet time activity. The bean bags are quite light and harmless to the players and home furnishings but have the right weight to land easily in their intended pockets without much skill or practice. This game comes in a sturdy box with all parts dutifully sealed in plastic. The pouches for the bean bags are a flexible yellow plastic material that has a strong, nauseating smell. The children seem oblivious to it and it will dissipate over a period of about three days. A recommendation would be to purchase it early and allow it to “air out” before use; otherwise it is a great and safe way to occupy children.

My TK has had a great time playing together. This is a great game for cooperation, taking turns, and eye hand skills.

The smart toss helps teach colors, shapes, and numbers. It comes with colorful (purple,yellow,red and blue) bean bags that are sewn very securely. The bean bags are numbered 1-12 so the child can learn to count. There are 4 different games in this one toy and it's a very easy setup. I found when trying the game with the numbers you could work on counting (math). For example: if you get your bean bags in holes you can add the numbers from the holes together for older kids. One side shows what appears to be paint spots (colors), the second side has colored shapes (green triangle, orange oval, etc.). The third side has space related pictures and the fourth side has numbers 1-10 to teach the counting for the younger child but I felt like you could add the numbers together to teach addition for the older child. It works on muscle strength. It also works great for hand/eye coordination. It seems encouraging because if you aim for a hole sometimes it slides down the board and gets in another hole so I found it still excited my grandson because at least he got points. I would think because of the material it's made of that it could be used outdoors but it would make a good party game.

The very first thing I noticed when I opened the plastic covering was the overpowering smell of chemicals and plastic. It nearly knocked me over. So, beware, if you are highly sensitive to smells such as this! I can't imagine the smell will go away any time soon. That being said, this is a a phenonomal little game filled with four different boards for learning or just having a regular toss game! The booklet that comes with the game has a list of games to play and rules. No need to make up your own game. The game titles are: "Sum Number Add Up" "What's the Difference" "Shape Up" "Color Tossing" The board is made of a VERY sturdy cardboard covered in vinyl plastic. The holes for the bean bags to be tossed into is a simple plastic fabric. The game has Velcro on the edges to allow the game to remain in place, no matter the side you play it on - because each game is on a different side of the board. It's fully reversible. It comes with 12 bean bags each labeled with a number. I wish there were more beanbags because my children have a tendency to lose everything. Despite the plastic smell, I recommend this activity! 5 stars!! You can easily bring it outdoors where the smell is not so overwhelming.

A great family game for everyone. Easy set up....just align the velcro and it's done! Pockets attached to the board holds all the colorful and numbered bean bags. Twelve bean bags in all. A handle for convenience to carry this game where ever you want to go. Your home, a park or your friends house. Each side has a game on it. Flip it over and push in the pockets and you have another game. An interactive game with others or all alone. You get four games to choose from: colors, shapes, numbers and free play. A guide comes with it that has the game directions on how to play. I love that its colorful to keep kids attention. All the primary colors, red, yellow, blue and green. We love to play this with our grandkids and when we get warn out they can still play by themselves. I like that the bean bags are small little round disks and light weight making it easy for them to toss. Great as a learning source for little ones as well. Helps them learn numbers, colors and shapes. For the older kids the can learn to add. You can make up some more games yourself. I really recommend this game and love that it is great for all ages.

The children at my setting loved this equipment. It has promoted many areas of their development, especailly physical play both indoors and out, personal social and emotional development with sharing and communication and problem solving expressing their ideas. Would recommend it to both nurseries and parents

Unfortunately I had to return this item right after I received it. It was extremely flimsy. I was disappointed with its quality. I didn't think that it would withstand the wear and tear of a kindergarten classroom of 25 children. Luckily, Learning Resources has an excellent return policy and there was no problem sending it back.
