The seal around the view spot on the bottle was not closed, causing the contents to leak out when the bottles were squeezed. Three out of the four bottles were like that.

Think of these as silicone balloons. The flip open lid is very basic that I would call a disposable type stretch plastic hinge. It cracked for me the first time I opened it. Don't pack where those balloons will get compressed or you will have a mess. Maybe they would be ok in a reinforced box, but not in a bag like required for TSA.

Absolutely not leak proof! I filled three of the four containers about 2/3 full each, one with shampoo, one with conditioner, and one with body wash. I screwed the lids back on and left them sitting on the bathroom counter while I did some other chores. When I came back to pack the bottles back in their little bag, half of the shampoo had leaked and was covering my bathroom counter. I can't imagine the mess had I packed these in luggage and traveled with them. I'm so disappointed to have lost a few ounces of my favorite shampoo too!

The way these are designed made them basically unuseable. The silicone portion isnt fully attached to the plastic cap so the silicone bends and the plastic doesnt. The opening is large so anything thinner than probably lotion just falls out in a pour (i used it for baby dish soap). These also all started leaking after about a week even though no one was using them because we all hated them. Just get the plastic kind.

Bought these for travel and when I got to my location I opened my toiletry bag and they had leaked all over. I don’t write a lot of reviews but buyer beware on these crappy containers.

Purchased new from store m. Took out of original package to wash before use. I turned the bottles inside out to make cleaning easier. That’s when I noticed that the inside of the bottle was flawed. It looked bubbly, crusty, foamy, but it wouldn’t come off (See picture). From my best guess, the crusty look is the actual material that has been messed up during production. Taking back because I don’t want to risk it leaking product all over my stuff.

I filled the tubes with liquid and lotion type substances prior to a trip for TSA purposes. In my bag many of the substances leaked out from the top cap. I would not recommend this item because of this issue. I liked the idea of the 3 oz portion size, but the vessel is poorly made to secure the contents.
