Smartek Deluxe Clothes Shaver

I have been looking for a fabric shaver to meet my expectations for at least 10 years. I love to iron and use a lint remover and a fabric shaver during my ironing for really good looking clothing and sheets. I had a Lillian Vernon shaver well past its life. Bought 2 other brands and they were so light weight or just horrible I ended up throwing them away. This shaver is awesome. Only considerations are: wide span for holding the arm and reaching the on/off button (minor), and must lay shaver down as opposed to standing (minor) Cost was 99 cents for FedEx to deliver to my house in 2 or 3 days.

My sofa upholstery was beginning to get "pilly" so I had seen products like this on TV before and was skeptical to say the least. I used this shaver on the sofa and I was amazed at the results. The sofa was $2000 and I was at the point of replacing it because of the upholstery condition. This shaver has virtually returned the sofa to it's original condition. This product exceeded my expectations.

This is a truly professional quality clothes shaver, has a very smooth stainless screen which glides effortlessly over the most delicate fabric, completes its job in 1/3 the time required by other shavers, is very lightweight due to its AC adapter, which runs without batteries being installed, and extends the life of my and my husband's clothes.

Really like this shaver. It does a good job, runs on electricity or batteries. It seemed pricey,but I just saved an expensive wool sweater which was very pilled, so it paid for itself. Read directions first for best use, and clean often.

This product can remove the link balls and fuzz quickly on sweater, blanket and other clothing. You will need more time to remove the pilling on the towels. One thing, I mostly like on this product is it running in electricity compare to my old battery operated clothes shaver that I always replaced two batteries every few hours of continuous use.

I would recommend this product to everyone so far it works very well, I have not had a chance to use it on my sweaters but I tried it on my jacket and I am very pleased with the results, I really like that I can use the A/C cord or batteries when I travel. :}

I was looking for a clothes shaver that would not damage clothes. I used this on a very thin shirt and it did very well. A little more than other shavers, but worth the money. Also, uses batteries or you can plug it in. You do have to keep going over the clothes, but in the end it does shave the clothes. I guess if it were more powerful, it would damage the clothes.

So far, the equipment is working as expected. The manual said not to run it for more than 1 minute or the motor could be damage. Will see how it holds up to a few months of usage.

I do a lot of crocheting and sometimes the items need a freshening up before they go to their new homes.

Shaver did very well in removing some of the pile from an older robe, but motor "lugged down" about 1/3 of the way into this project. Cleaned blades as instructed, however, was MUCH slower and did not have same effectiveness and motor strength as when first used. If this is the most this shaver can do, I will be returning product. I would say if you use it for smaller, treasured item that you really want to update, this product is good for "one shot" at least.
