SmartyKat Crazy Cruiser Toy for Indoor Cats & Kittens, Electronic Motion Toy, Vibration Mimics Bugs & Satisfies Hunting Instincts, 3-Pack

This toy needs an automatic shutoff. When it works, it has a small light, vibrates, buzzes, and moves a little. Our cat loves it. The package contains three of the same toy. They use two LR44 batteries, which are already installed and are replaceable. The toy has an on/off switch but it does not shut off automatically when it is not being used. There is no way that I found to visibly distinguish "ON" from "OFF". (You can see where I am going with this!) This a cat toy. Cats carry things around and sometimes leave them in obscure places. We have had the toys for less than two weeks, have not used them great deal, and are already using the third one. Just today I found the first and second ones which had been missing. One with dead batteries and one which will sometimes give a brief flash of light but no motion, if you smack it against your hand. This second one doesn't respond for the cat.

I have 3 cats, and at Christmas, they were 2-3 years old (2 are sisters, that are 2). I bought 3 of these toys and at first the buzzing sensation which moves them across the floor attracted their attention, but eventually they got bored. Also, one of the critters batteries lost its charge before a month was done...disappointing!

Arrived on time and looked great. The enclosed batteries were DOA! Not happy since all 3 toys would not work.
