SmithBuilt Heavy Duty Dog Cage, Double Door

My new dog has a bit of seperation anxiety and ruined the regular crate I got from a local pet supply store so I decided for his safety and the safety of our new home to get this crate! He cannot get out of it and doesn't hurt himself or my house! He seems to be getting better too!

My husky mix has seperation anxiety and has torn up 2 of the normal wire kennels ($70 each). I wish I would have gone with this one right off. I used the 20% deal so my total was right under $200. Bear actually seems to enjoy it! He drools a lot while he's in there (part of the anxiety), and he used to have to lay in it, but now it falls through the grate to the tray below. It doesn't look like he has tried to chew the bars at all, and has not figured out how to unlatch it. Assembly was pretty easy, helps to have 2 people. I am very satisfied with this product!! This is the first kennel that my separation anxiety pitbull did not destroy. She has chewed threw 500 dollars in kennels 3 other metal ones and 1 plastic one. We have had this kennel a few months now and it is unfazed. If your pitbull or dog is a Houdini and has bad anxiety and just wrecks the kennel then your house and your terrified to leave your dog at home because every time there is a mess. This will end it. My pitbull is 18 months now and is at 40 pounds. She never wets in her cage we don't keep her in there longer than absolutely necessary though maximum of 6 hours. I don't like the grates on the floor that stuff kills their feet. I just opted to fold a big blanket a few times and put it down for padding.

My dog Toots was hit by a delivery truck. It broke her pelvic bone in 4 places at the joint and fractured her other pelvic bone. My vet suggested that I should get an elevated kennel cause Toots needed to heal for 5 to 6 weeks with minimal movement. This kennel is exactly what we needed. Toots is as comfortable as she possibly can be. I have easy access to her and it is easy to keep clean. I highly recommend this kennel to anyone. Great buy and worth every penny.

I am very pleased with my 42" crate. It arrived two days after I placed the order. The crate was in perfect condition with the crate being flawless. Fedx delivered and the box was in perfect condition. This is a heavy duty 20 gage steel crate just as described. I am a 73 year old woman in good health and put the crate together with no problem. I like the fact that the door can be removed when my dog is not locked in by just lifting off the hinges. I did not add the rollers since I will not be moving the crate. My dog does not pee in her crate so I put the black plastic liner over the bottom from a 42" in cheap crate and it fit perfect. I am very please with the quality. This is the third SmithBuilt dog crate I have owned and I love them. I have a dog with separation anxiety and this is her safe place. She is very happy in her crate if I need to be gone for a long stretch of time. The only thing I would change about this product is the quality of the door hardware. I've resorted to adding a U bolt to ensure the door cannot be forced open by my sweet pup. Thank you for an awesome product!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This crate is great! Very sturdy and really made well. The only issue I had were two of the holes wernt drilled straight across from eachother, so there was some mickey mousing, which is why the 4 stars. I also needed to add a could more latches. For such a well built crate, the latches leave much to be desired. I would recommend and also buy again.

came damaged(bent bars) the size they give for dog breed are off, these creatures are HUGE. The crate recommended for my pit, fit both our pits, and our 9 and 12 year old daughters.. ridiculously large... like a pony could fit in the thing.. then they expect you to return it to store or a fed ex location.. I'm disabled, impossible.

the crate itself seems awesome so far. I'm a tad hacked off I paid close to $300 for a heavy duty crate with garbage latches. $10 fix from rural king and problem was solved. be prepared if you have an escape artist to make some changes to the latches on this crate!

I just got this cage from yesterday. The delivery man drop the cage that I order from Walmart in front my door. I order two cages another one is fine, nothing broke, but another one the cage is damaged from shipping. I feel so disappointed to this shipping and I wanna let you guy know some shipping is not ok and can damage to the customer's stuff.
