this ham is delicious. it was sliced perfectly. nice flavor, not a lot of fat. FINALLY, someone sliced the ham the perfect thickness, so it is not tough. normally, i get 5 or 6 slices, i stopped buying my lunch meat at walmart for this reason. i thought I'd give it a try again, and i am so glad i did! i got 15 slices of ham out of a pound. much, much better!
I have purchased this ham many times and absolutely love it. The only issue is inconsistent slicing thickness. Sometimes I order a pound and get 6-7 overly thick slices. %231 - Deli workers should be better trained, the usual reason people get it sliced is for sandwiches! Too thick is not acceptable. %232 - Wal-Mart management: please update your app and allow customers to select slice thickness. Giant Supermarket has this and it lets you select Regular or Thin sliced....time to adopt this and take the suprise meat/cheese thickness out of the equation.
Love this meat here, the deli is always clean, However it closes way too early usually before it actually closes the workers behind The showcase cooler are not willing to help you at the one in Coventry at least two hours before they even close and that can be frustrating because they never bag up 1 pound the prepared meat at 1 pound it's always like a quarter of a pound and then you pay more that way and also the thing that bothers me so much is they have this great roasted chicken meal that comes with a whole roasted chicken potatoes gravy and mac %26 cheese for only $20 and they never ever have the sides to go with it so I think I was only able to purchase it once and all the other times that I tried they were out of something so they're not very stocked at the one in Coventry so that really bothers me. But for the quality of the food itself, I give it a 10 out of 10.
I love this on a wrap fitness they cut it just right has good protein. I eat it with most of my vegetables and I can eat it on a wrap as I said I could eat it playing. I can eat it with a roll. I love this a lot.
This is exactly what you think it is. It's cured pork that's mechanically turned into a quasi slurry then pumped into molds shaped in a way that resembles that real ham you had or saw that one time at band camp on your 9th birthday. The vision that convinced you that shape means quality. it means flavor. it means natural. it means.......... ham. So, yes. This product does exactly what it's supposed to do. it's supposed to look like that ham that one time you had and it was great. The problem is that it LITERALLY ONLY does that one thing. Unfortunately that means that it definitely doesn't taste like "fall off the bone" ham. It doesn't have the texture of something one would describe as "fall off the bone" ham. It doesn't have the smell of any ham someone sane would describe as above average at best. But you knew that already before you bought it, right? So it is absolutely exactly what it's supposed to be. Good job. gross pork product makers!
This ham was from the deli counter and I ordered it for delivery. Unfortunately it was so thick that it was rubbery and not pleasant in a sandwich. Walmart doesn't allow you to select cut thickness. So even though the ham had good flavor I will not be buying it again for that reason. Nobody wants thick ham from the deli counter. Walmart is stupid for not allowing us to select a cutting thickness.
I was so disappointed because this is one of my favorite lunch meats. But this time it should have never been sliced. I was so disappointed in the deli for even slicing it and sending it to me. They really should have sent it back to the company for quality control. The ham had A LOT OF FAT. the meat taste good but almost 1/2 of the slices had so much fat.
this has definitely declined in quality!!! When meat is ordered from the store to be delivered don't put it in the bag for delivery at 8am when delivery isn't scheduled until between 10-12!! fresh and frozen items should be shopped right before the bags go in the car or at least kept in the refrigerated section of the store! y'all are going to kill somebody!!! regardless the ham is not as good as it used to be. I am questioning why I pay for Walmart recently. I won't order this anymore and before I loved it just now a disappointment 😞
I do believe it is the fault of the person who sliced/served. They sliced the endcap of meat, so very fatty and the slices are so thick my family doesn't want to eat it. We typically eat it as sandwiches. I ordered a pound which contains about 10 slices. Having worked in grocery/deli, most don't serve the end cut. Those usu get wrapped for deeply discounted sale. And, Walmart wants me to return the item by 10/25. Today is 9/25 . Negates delivery service I paid for. I have purchased this brand in the past and it was fine. This is actually pretty gross to even open it's so full of thick fat.
i asked for a pound of ham. when it arrived, there were 7 slices of the product. i didn't want ham stakes i wanted it for sandwiches. I am not very happy with that.
