These work great. Smooth easy cutting is the result and they have very reasonable pricing. I use them for pruning and also have two pairs I use when trimming my larger goat's hooves. Fiskars is top quality and - if needed - their customer service and warranty are nothing short of excellent. I don't use any other brand anymore for pruners, loppers, or extendable pole trimmers.
Great pruner! Cuts through branches and twigs like a hot knife through butter. Very pleased w/ my purchase.
I am a woman with small hands and these pruners are very easy to use.
use them all thr time to trim large plants and bushes
The Fiskars 5/8 inch Bypass Steel Pruner is an excellent tool that I have used for over ten years with only a broken opening return spring, after roughly 10 years of extensive use, cutting sticks to 6 or 12 inch lengths, in order to mulch them into the lawn.

They're very sharp and easy to use. I've used them to trim small branches, various bushes and plants. The only complaint I have is the locking feature. Once locked, it is difficult to unlock. It is not a deal breaker, but locking them for safety reasons is important. Overall, they're good quality and perform very well. 9/10 :-D
i ordered fiskars pruning shears because that is a good product. what i received is Apthrill brand. they made a nice cut but are definitely not as sturdy as what i ordered. i dont appreciate a bait and switch, but they will get away with it this time because i cant print a return label curently. this site wont let me upload the pictures. very frustrating.
Initially, I thought these were great. I got them in the mail and immediately went out into my garden and put them to use. I pruned a few of my vegetable plants and they seemed to be working great. I put them away and took them out the next day and they no longer would pop back open. I have to manually open the blades back up after each cut. It still cuts fine, but manually pulling the handle open after each cut is a real pain.
I purchased the pruning shears under the impression they were brand new. The packaging was clearly damaged and worn looking. Not the shipping container - that was fine. When I started to “open” the package (the cardboard the shears were attached to), I squeezed the shears to test them out before snipping the plastic ties to release it from the cardboard. The shears literally fell out of the packaging. The plastic was already snipped in the back. I guess it was returned? Found at a garage sale and sold at full price? I have no clue. There was a slight bit of damage to the plastic on the front of the shears. I don't know if that was a manufacturing problem or because they were used before. I don't have a problem with second hand. I do have a problem paying full price for a product advertised as brand new when it appears they aren't new.
