This has been a staple for Ive cream since I was a child. And this 8 pack is the best lol, we would always buy one then a few days later go get another one. Ive even ventured out to the Hersheys which is a little bit cheaper, but nah way different mouth feel. Smuckers shell will always be the best!!
Terrific for dipping a cone, or drizzling over top of your ice cream, solidifies instantly and adds not only a great chocolate flavor but a nice crackly consistency. You can make your own with quality chocolate Plus some coconut oil, but this product is tasty and ready to roll, I purchase it often.
I use this to make homemade ice cream cake. If you want to make an ice cream cake that the ice cream lovers in your family will like way more than one you can buy already made in the freezer this is what you do. Get a bread loaf pan, and line it with parchment paper. Alternate layers of ice cream sandwiches pushed down very hard ( flattened) and ice cream one on top of the other until you get to the top. Freeze it overnight. The next day, take it out of the freezer by pulling up on the parchment paper. Put it on a plate, cover it in magic shell, and crumble crushed up Oreo cookies on the top of it. Then freeze it again for a few hours. it sounds deceptively simple, but I am telling you that everyone in my family loves ice cream, and they always ask me to make this for them.
This is quite delicious. We be using it on vanilla ice cream, almost exclusively. It enhances the vanilla flavor without overpowering it. It is specially good on Tillamook vanillas ice cream, Ben and Jerry's vanilla ice cream and Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream. I haven't tried it on a cone, yet but it might be good. We like it on fruits, too. Especially strawberries and pineapple. It's fun to squeeze it all over the ice cream, but don't make any messes cause it would be sad if any got wasted. One thing, sometimes it's hard to get all of the stuff out because the opening is kind of small. I guess you could put it on any flavor of ice cream that you like. But trust me, vanilla is the best.
This stuff is so delicious, that it's dangerous. I love the creamy taste. The amount of ice cream i consume just to eat this is ridiculous. I love it.
I don't always purchase this. It's kind of a special item. I didn't realize that it has as many calories in it as a large piece of pizza. I guess I won't be using it on my sugar-free ice cream.
Word of caution never put it in the refrigerator. We really love this stuff, don't know if it's the healthiest but it sure taste great over ice cream, freezes in moments! Highly recommended
I'm not sure if they stored my pick up order in the fridge and it changed the texture, but this came out in a tube instead of like a syrup and it had a lot of granules in it. The coconut oil had completely separated, and I did shake the bottle rigorously. It did harden once you put it on the ice cream, but it was very strange. There's definitely something wrong with this so maybe it's a Walmart thing? But I wouldn't buy it again.
This was hard and separated when I got it suspect it was stored near the coolers and it did what it is. Supposed to do once it hits the ice cream. I tried to shake it and it wouldn't shake no trued pouring over my dessert and the first stuff came out without chocolate. So gross. Entire dessert ruined.
I need a refund, this is the chocolate shell syrup that goes over cold items and then gets hard. Some how the one I got, ended up in a freezer or fridge and it is rock solid. I doubt if there is a way to unthaw it (because it does this when it hits cold) And as I stated it is rock solid. I opened it because it was so cold on the outside of the container, and my fears were right. How do I get a refund? I bought 2 and they were both this way, one regular and one peanut butter. I do not know how to post picture, container is fine it is what is inside of the bottle
