These aren't super thick leggings, but they are warm enough to wear around the house. I don't feel they are thick enough or warm enough to wear outside with nothing over the top of them if it is extremely cold out. I live in the Midwest so our winters are often brutally cold and drop into the negative teens. However, they look awesome with an oversized sweater or sweatshirt and keep me warm enough inside. I wear these on the treadmill and if it's not too cold out I will wear them to run errands or I will throw a pair of jeans over the top of them. The price was right also!

I needed some leggings for winter and these were priced right and the reviews were positive, so I took a chance ordering them online. I don't like buying clothes without trying them on but these fit perfectly! I've ordered another pair.
