You can never go wrong with WD. Their products are top notch. When they say 5 million hours, that's just what is means. I still am running a hard drive I bought in 2005 in my PC. It may be approaching near end of life, but as long as it keeps running, I'll continue to use it. My recent purchase (WD Black 2TB SDD I now use as a storage backup. Very simple to install and get it up a running. I am confident it will give me exceptional service just like my current WD 300GB 10K VelociRaptor hard drive. I have absolutely no problem recommending WD products to friends, family, co-workers, or anyone else.
Running 2 of the 2TB SN850X in an Alienware laptop with RAID 0. Flawless performance every time. Upgrade from Samsung 1TB drives and I instantly noticed a boost in speed when booting and game load time.
I brought this before the price increase when it was $100. It works great installation was a bit wonky but it worked out in the end.
It's fast, fast, fast, did I say fast?
My son wanted this to use with his PS5. He can store more games with this.
Easily installed and exactly what it's supposed to be. It went directly into the PS5 with no problems.
Came in a small brown box and It fits perfectly on the PS5 and seems work great ! Highly recommend, it took about 5 days to come in and was worth the wait :))
This SSD works very well and it's reliable, I use it for storage / backup of files on my laptop. I prefer higher end SSD for DATA over cheeper one, because of experience with computers. Cheep SSD M.2 cards don't work as well, and you could lose your DATA when they fail!
Purchased to install on our PS5. It's been the best investment I made for my console. It makes downloading and installing games a lot easier, without having to erase old games to make room for the new ones. Installing was super easy. It's a lifesaver, highly recommend it for those that keep up with the latest games.
Everything is very good, even many are saying Samsung and Seagate are better. Why 4 stars? Because I was never able to get 7300 mb/s. Even from one WD Black SN850X to another WD Black SN850X (on a Asrock Z790 Steel Legend WiFi motherboard). Maybe the motherboard is the problem. Not sure.
