I have four children from age 2 to age 9 and this was the first board game they could all play together. My 2 year old didn't quite understand the matching component but loved to yell stinky cheese!!! when a stinky cheese tile was discovered. The game was long enough to be interesting but not so long that the kids lose interest. I love that there are different games to play with the same pieces. It was simple enough for most of the kids to understand but kept all their interest.
My toddler boys love family time and playing games. This board game was an absolute hit for our family. The design and packaging was so cute and detailed, leaving my boys very intrigued. The directions were clear and easy to understand. It's versatile, which allowed my toddlers to play a couple different ways. The intended game is easy to learn, basically a level up from the traditional memory game. I loved watching them use the tongs and explore their gross motor skills, all while having fun !
This game is adorable. It has well made parts. They're cute and aesthetic to the eye. The rules are simple enough that we played with my 5 and 3 year old. I love that it's a game but also encourages to employ your memory. My kids really came together to work as a team so that we all made snack pairs to win before all the stinky cheeses were pulled. I also love that it gives different combinations that you can play when you're searching. Amazing game. 10/10 recommend. Really, hit order!
This is a great game for little ones! While it's designed for ages 4+, my 3 yr old still had a great time. My other child is 5 and enjoyed the game as well. There are different ways to play, but we did the basic matching method, snack twins. It took about 5 minutes to learn. It's similar to a card memory matching game of different foods except for that there are stinky cheese cards to avoid. It was a good concept of working together rather than one player winning. Quality family time!
My family has greatly enjoyed playing Snack Party Pals! The ease of play & fun theme appeal to younger ones, while the Stinky Cheese Wheel adds a time limit appealing to seasoned players. The full game time is perfect. It's been an opportunity to expose our young kids to more board games, meeting objectives as a team. A great feature is game pieces are very thick & sturdy, unlikely to be bent by little hands. Double bonus is the matching game within the game. Definite add to our game night.
It is *so* hard to find a board game that younger children can enjoy. Our kids are 2 and 4. While the two year old didn't really understand the goal, she was able to follow guidance and really enjoyed trying to use the tongs (a great skill for littles!) The four year old could easily understand the goals of the game and she could play and really enjoyed herself. There are also no small pieces or choking hazards! We really love this game and the challenge level will be great for years to come!
My 4 year old loves memory match games so I was intrigued by this game. This game has a quick set up and fast play time that allows her to stay engaged. The directions were clear and quick to understand/learn. The tongs are a great addition as they allow practice of fine motor skills. I love that there are no tantrums about winning/losing because everyone works together to beat the game. This is a great addition to the start of family game night with a toddler!
We are a big game family and this was an instant hit with my kids, ages 2, 5 & 7, and with the parents! It was easy to set up, easy to learn and enjoyable for all of us. We loved the cooperative nature of the game and it was so fun to see everyone cheering each other on and helping each other find matches. We played multiple times the first time we opened it (even playing a mini-game where the patient big sisters let our 2-year-old give it a shot). It's definitely our new go-to and family fave!
We have enjoyed the Snack Party Pals Peaceable Kingdom Cooperative Board Game. It's a simple concept of a matching game that is easy to learn. What I love most is you all work together, which encourages teamwork and problem solving. The stinky cheese pieces were silly to make them laugh without feeling total disappointment when picking one. I will also say the pieces are made of a thicker material! The only con is that for their ages, some of the foods in the game were unfamiliar to them.
Snack Party Pals is a solid matching game that prompts collaboration rather than competition. Since you are playing against the game (& prospect of uncovering all the stinky cheeses), it was easier for all ages/skill levels to have fun as there is not a personal pile of matches to compare. The bamboo tweezers were a nice motor skill addition to the game, but unfortunately broke during attempts to manipulate them to fit over the wedges. Our kids liked naming and sorting the snacks.
