#Sweepstakes Another solid 5/5, I love this little stealth ship. The blades on these ones don't move, but they don't need to! They look downright menacing, and fit perfectly with the evil look of this faction. I've had no issues with the two I have, so if you're eyeing it I recommend it, as it comes with a pretty solid assortment of parts
I like the geometry of the product and the versatility!
We gave this set to our 1yr old for his birthday (purchased many months prior anticipating the day we could see how happy he would be to get the cars). His eyes lighted up and now he has his very own set vs. getting into his daddy's collection of model cars. They are great for him and easy to handle for him (future mechanic) now and in the future. We monitor his play because of the detachable weels or just take the wheels off which he doesn't mind. They are much better than most over the top plastic toys! Looking forward to years of collecting and play!
I'm an adult who bought this for myself at a store, and I must say, for anyone intending to get into SNAP SHIPS, the Locust KLAW Stealth Craft is an excellent, low-cost start. The toy is essentially an introduction to the methods and basic parts of SNAP SHIP building. With this set, almost every build you put together is going to look great. The instructions are great to know what each doodad does, but can easily be ignored, as assembling your own builds is even funner than just following the instructions. The pieces are very large, chunky, and satisfying to put together. However, not everything is peachy keen. The pilot is very small and easily lost, and the cockpit lid is easy to accidentally knock off. A good solution is to just put the pilot into the cockpit and forget about him. The story for the toys, SNAP SHIPS: DAWN OF BATTLE feels kind of generic and humorless, but isn't bad in a fun-to-mock way. It's... alright, I guess. All in all, whether you're a kid or an adult, these toys are exceptional! Scott Pease & Jeff Swenty, the design team, really outdid themselves with this one.
This set was fun right out of the box. The instruction were clear and easy to follow. Building was quick and after trying both provided designs, everyone wanted to give it a shot at creating something new.
I have many transformers and the Locust was so much better quality that most of those.
There are some very small and thin parts on this -- The character and a couple of the parts had some loose fittings -- I worry about how sturdy this will be for the long run, but It is definitely fun for now.
My almost 8 year old liked the ships. He did have a hard time putting them together and I needed to help him. On the box it states you can build 2 different ships, but you have to take the first one apart to build the second which was disappointing to him
My son had fun building the Snap Ship with a little help from his dad. The only issue I could see was that the parts are real small making it hard to hold and put together for a child. I hate that the pieces are very small. My son had some problems holding the small pieces with his fingers in order to snap them together. Dad had to help a little. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand and follow and I love that it has an interactive app to download. I also love that the box top can be used as a display stand. What I like best is that it helps my son to use his imagination and the missiles shoot really far for a toy like this. It only took about 25 minutes to put together and fun to play with.
My child was able to put together some of the parts but others were tough to put together, dad had to help. She loves her ship and wants more!
