Got to use the snow blower with wire this morning. It tends to blow the snow backwards even with adjusting it to where it should blow. It falls back onto the machine and blows on to you. The good thing about it is that manages to clear all the thick snow that the snow ploughs leave at your driveway. The wire with plug that’s on the machine tends to come off time and time again from my extension cord. Overall performance 3/5 and glad that it’s a steel blade !
This product is a great bang for your buck, it pushes, shovels and tosses snow accordingly to it's specifications, it is fairly easy to assemble, it's size is great for storage as it's not too big and clunky and it takes great weight out of shoveling with a standard shovel, pushing out thick, heavy snow, while reducing pressure on your body and reducing injuries over time. We love it and our neighbours love it!
For an electric snow blower, this is one of the best. It has decent throwing power and can handle deeper snow than many electric snow throwers while taking relatively wide swaths due to the width of the unit. Out of the box, it takes only a few minutes to assemble the handle and then it's ready to go. As a single stage unit, it can't handle heavy snow as well as a two stage gasoline powered thrower. This is my third electric. It's too early to know the longevity of this unit, but electrics don't last as long as gasoline throwers. On the positive side, they require no cans of gasoline and no oil changes.
This works alright for light freshly fallen snow under 6"-8" that hasn't been on the ground for more than a few hours. It works ok for my needs, but it was maybe a funny coincidence that when I used it for the first time, I noticed my next door neighbor actually owned the same model (SNJ-SJ627E) and he was taking it out to the trash because the cord connection started smoking on his model. It comes with a two year manufacturer's warranty but my neighbor said his lasted 4 years before it started smoking and he felt that was a reasonable amount of time for a Walmart product. So, if you reduce your expectations for what this snow blower is capable of and know that it will probably stop working in about 4 years, and that still works for your needs then it's a relatively fine purchase for its price point. I'll be keeping mine and hope I also can get 4 years out of it.
small and all plastic. it is easy to assemble. literally no cord. this is good for getting rid of snow if you dont have ice, dont have leaves or small branches in the snow and dont have any acorns or anything other than snow it its path. If you only have snow on the sidewalk it works great.
I received the snow blower in a box which was damaged beyond belief (as if it was thrown down a flight of stairs, jumped on and kicked a few times, pictures attached). It was excessively taped up and was shipped in this poor condition and the arm which directs the snow was foot outside of the box. Wow, I fixed the bend in the frame since I needed to gift it to my son. It works now but so embarring for the vendor.
I would give this product and the company Zero stars if I could. This product came with both broken and missng parts. When I called the company they told me they don't have any replacement parts. This is a brand new item and they don't have any Parts! only option they gave me was to send it back and get a credit with them to buy more of their junk products. Refused to refund my money. This is a total disgrace. Walmart should totally disassociate from this company. I am out $260 and stuck with a snowblower with broken and missing parts. I can't believe this happened with Walmart. Will never buy online from Walnart app again.
This product is GARBAGE. It arrived in a heavily damaged box. It looked like it was ran over by a truck. The snow thrower itself is a completely unreliable, flimsy toy. At first it was performing as advertised. Then slowly but surely, the assembled parts began coming undone (mainly the handle) and lost in the snow, rendering the machine unusable. Complete waste. I will be returning it.
This came used with scratches and dirt all over the body, and most apparent wherever metal was in contact with metal, such as the handle bars. The foam was dented like it had been used, and it appeared that someone had attempted to wipe the dirt off. It arrived in a generic Home Depot box with duct and packing tape holding the box together. I also thought this would come with a battery given it was advertised as a hybrid, but the battery came separately. I admit that's on me for not checking the contents as carefully as I should have, but be clear that this will NOT have a battery. I would add photos, but the website shows an error whenever I attempt to upload despite multiple attempts. "There was an error uploading your file. Try again."
I had a Snow Joe electric blower that lasted me 7 years, but unfortunately gave up this year and smoke started coming out of the motor when I tried to use it. I decided to replace it with another similar one so I ordered this 22inch blower. Unfortunately this new blower is very cheaply made and does not match the web site picture or description. The product description states “Equipped with a reinforced auger, 4-ply rubber padding, and 4 heavy-duty rubber-tipped blades,”, the actual product has a one piece cheap plastic auger that will likely break once used! Not one piece of rubber on it and looks totally different than what the website pictures show. Returning it tomorrow. My advice, stay away from this garbage!
