I received a standard ice machine as a gift, which serves its purpose well. However, upon discovering this nugget ice maker, I felt compelled to acquire it. And does it produce nugget ice? Indeed, it does. Its compact size is a significant advantage, and it's particularly well-suited for blending into slushies or consuming directly, which I've found myself doing frequently. This machine performs exactly as described.

She works and she works incredibly well. I am so far past excited to have nugget ice that it's embarrassing. I am also super impressed with how quiet it is and how little counter space it takes up. My counters have a huge wasted area underneath the cabinets, and it's the perfect spot for it to sit, unobtrusively, and do it's thing. I have no complaints and hope it keeps the same energy for years to come. I didn't have high hopes because I'm just skeptical like that, but I'm happy to have been proven wrong. i absolutely love this type of ice. it is great for drinks or if you just like to chew ice! there are a couple of things to know about this machine. the directions state to let it sit upright for 24 hours before usomg and to clean it before using. following the directions might decrease fristrations later on. it takes a little while for the machine to fill the basket. it makes ice fairly quickly but initially it will take a while to get enough ice to use. once it is going it is dependable. the size is perfect for my kitchen and for personal use.

BEST Ice Maker I have ever had. I am addicted to it LOL. Got me here eating ice chips like they are candy. It is slow to start, when she gets warmed the ice moves quickly. I walked away for a few minutes to return to an almost full ice catcher. You will be so happy with this ice maker purchase. Nothing to clean up afterwards. I believe she self-cleans. I always had to clean out the bigger ice cube makers. You will be happy with this purchase.

My review of the Snowyermine 35lbs/24H Nugget Ice Maker Countertop, Portable Ice Maker Machine with Auto-Cleaning, Black . After cleaning it with soapy water, then running the 15 minute cleaning cycle to sterilize it with vinegar and running the cleaning cycle 2 more times with clean water to rinse it all out it was ready to make ice. I did find a few black specks on the stopper after cleaning but that is why you clean it before using it. The sides get a little warm while working and the fan blows hard enough to blow paper off the counter if it is close by. The drain stopper is under the front of the machine and is hard to get back in after draining unless you tip it backwards a little to see where it goes. To make ice: I removed the ice basket and added 1Liter of water to the max line, put basket back in and started the ice making cycle at 2:15pm and at 4:15pm we had enough ice to fill 4 glasses. You do have to stir the ice often to keep it from backing up and stopping the flow of ice. The machine is pretty quiet as it goes through its cycles. The ice is good and comes out in tiny cubes and it is kind of crunch-chewy. I like this ice maker and will enjoy having it.

Great quality, ice machine clean easy instructions to use easy to clean self cleaning as well. Packaged very well! Cleaned and used nuggets are like sonic ice!

This ice maker is amazing! I enjoy a lot of ice in my water and tea. This makes ice quickly and it somehow tastes better than other shaped ice! What a great deal I got! I am so pleased I got one as a graduation gift for someone going off to college and will live off campus.

i love it the only thing is that sometimes I add to much water but that is my fault. put some in bags in freezer when my kids come wonderful highly recommended

This is the first time I have owned an ice maker that is other than what comes out of the fridge. The convenience of making your own ice whenever you want to faster than the refrigerator can make is definitely a plus. However, the ice does trickle down slowly so it still takes time. Don't expect to have glasses full of ice for a couple of hours. The ice is cool though since it is 'Sonic ice' style and can be chewed. I am sure the higher model does more crumbly ice but for a unit this size, its impressive. The setup does take a bit because you have to do an initial clean on the unit before making the ice. The unit has support to make cleaning it easier, but there is maintenance involved in keeping the unit running and fresh. It's similar to maintenance of a humidifier to keep mold growth down and water clean. I don't think that should deter you from purchasing the machine if you are in need of a home ice maker that will be good for ice that is way cooler than the fridge ice. If you are making ice for a party, I would recommend starting in the morning and emptying the tray out multiple times in bags to put in the freezer so you are not waiting on ice while the party is going on.

We recently received the Snowyermine Nugget Ice Maker, and overall, we're pleased with it so far. Setup was extremely easy straight out of the box. We cleaned all components thoroughly and filled the tank with bottled water up to the max line. Once we hit the start button at 7:05, the first few pieces of ice started dropping at 7:15 — only 10 minutes in, which was impressive. However, by 8:30 we were only about 75% through the full cycle, so the complete process does take a little time. One thing we noticed is that the ice tends to build up in the center of the canister instead of distributing evenly, so we have to manually push it down occasionally as it deposits. Noise-wise, it wasn't too loud at first, but as it continued running, it did get noticeably louder. At one point, I walked back into the kitchen from doing laundry and thought the microwave was running. The ice itself is true nugget size, but it's not quite the same texture as Sonic or Zaxby's ice. It's still good, just not identical to that super-soft chew. One improvement that would make future models even better would be adding a scoop holder on the side. Having a designated place to store the scoop would make it more convenient and keep everything neatly together. Overall, it's a solid machine and does what it promises. We're giving it 4 stars for ease of setup and quick initial ice production, with minor deductions for noise level, ice distribution, and the lack of scoop storage. We plan to run another round and will update our review after more use.
