Shooters have struggled on the psp before, reason being is the controls and the fact that it is portable (played in spurts of 15 or so minutes versus hours on end like consoles). This one does it right. You get a pretty good single player with an ok story and length. You can tell the developers wanted to flesh out the characters more so than in past socom games, but it's only done so much here. You then have competitive multiplayer, up to 16 people fighting in different objective game types and multiple maps. It's quite deep and you can easily dump hours into the online multiplayer, especially if you get into a clan, and start playing on a more professional style, which you really don't have to do. On top of that, you can play 4 player co op, which is a first for psp shooters. Join up with 3 other people to go through the story levels, or use the maps and set customize the mission objectives. MAJOR replayability. Interlaced throughout all three (single, co op, competitive) you can earn Command Equity points, which you can use to customize your personsal Navy Seal's outfit, and his armory. It's probably the most customizable game on the psp. Very impressive. Very fun. And very longlasting, while still being able to be played in small spurts or on long runs. Definite buy
I bought this game for my grandson, with a new PSP, for xmas and he loved the game I always find it helpful if the reviewer give an age for the product and my grandson is almost eleven years old. It took him a little longer to master than most of the games I bought so he played with it the most.
it was a great game i think there should have been more comand options in the campain like a button that u could hit to have one of your people stealth kill someone i also think it would be cool if everyone on multiplayer had like 2 people that they could command to make the multiplayer better
